POSITITVE: Stool components arrived well packed. Pictoral instructions were easy to follow. Assembly in five (5) minutes. All eight male screws aligned with the cross-pieces and seat female threaded ferrules fine. I did put a drop of lube on the first threads of each screw. Pretty nice wood used in 1 + 1/2 plank glued seat construction. Dark brown (not black) stain was spray applied on seat top. Not bad. Perhaps the seat top stain was a little thin but the price of this stool is thin, too. Ample seat room plus some safety margin for my 210 pound, 75 year old heinie, when descending to the stool to tie my shoes. Ample seat size, wide space between legs for stability and 350 pound weight capacity, was why I made this selection over other stools. Review format calls for judgement as to "Light weight." Bad format. Greater weight adds to security and stability in use. Light weight in not necessarily a positive feature. MINOR NEGATIVE: RORKEE's promotional picutures show tabs and screws to further secure the steel legs into the wood seat. THESE TABS AND SCREWS WERE NOT SHOWN IN MY ASSEMBLY PICTURES, NOR PROVIDED IN THE PACKAGE. Rorkee should either provide the tabs and screws shown, or revise its promotional picture. For this omission and only this omission, I am giving Rorkee's stool a four (4) star overall rating, rather than a five (5) star rating. (I hate these small, subtle frauds on the internet.) ... show more

We have a high bed and use this each night as a step up. It's wide enough and sturdy enough to do the trick, plus it looks really good. The handle makes it easy to move away from or to the bed with ease. We're really glad we bought this.
