I got this as a gift for my nephew who doesn't normally do this type of thing, and he loved it. He wanted to make something straight away so we sat down and I just helped when he struggled - it was pretty straight forward so not too often - and he was thrilled when he'd made a robot. It was hit with his friends as well, definitely a good buy. I can highly recommend these

The media could not be loaded. Present for my 6 year old niece, she loved it, we built them together, we spent about an hour on one (not cause its hard but cause i was letting her do it and just guiding her and explaining concepts). She loves it, never lost interest, keeps asking for more (attached video of of the included robots - the walking one) its not a lets play for it forever kind of toy, its more of a "lets enjoy building it and watch it move then forget about it thing...i.e. its the experience of building it more than a playing toy

This kit is even better than I'd expected. I work with technical engineers, and we have a space set aside where they can take a break and focus on something else.. give their brains a break from their projects. But they love engineering, too. So the kit is perfect (along with puzzles, Rubik Cubes among other things). Children who are preoccupied with Legos would also enjoy this. And it's a generous kit with a good number of items to build. They all do something different, and so there's a lesson in physics in this, too.

This was a cool kit. Unfortunately, it began smoking a couple days after it was assembled and melted the plastic around the spring where the battery connects. It is a safety hazard.

Was a Easter present for the son who is 8 years old. He loves it!! Directions are easy for him to follow. It comes with everything he needs to complete each project. If you have a little one that is hands on then this is a must. Great buy for the price!
