I Bought My First One in Denmark

This is the second Stelton bread bag I have purchased. I bought my first one on a trip to Denmark when we were served in the home of a relative bread in an all canvas Stelton bag. My husband and I liked it so much we purchased one for our home. That was in 2004. After many washings it developed some frays and it was getting stained from the oil in the warm bread. So sixteen years later I found this bag on Amazon and bought it. Same quality, same clean look, same heat retention. If you like Danish modern design and warm bread you can't go wrong with this.

Perfect for bread or your craft...

The bread basket is perfect for putting warm bread ... Enough for 3 people... And close up to keep it warm. If more people are present the rim can be folded up higher and it will accommodate more bread. I have another basket that I'm using as my crochet basket. It is perfect for that as well, keeps all my yarn and hooks neatly organized while looking nice and tidy. It is worth the expense!

Not quite large enough, but still useful

The bag was smaller than I expected. Other than that, it does what it's supposed to do. My bread doesn't build up too much moisture (like if I put it in a sealed container), and it doesn't dry out (like if I left it on the counter). In order to keep a full loaf in the bag, I do have to clip the top of the bag with a clothes pin or office clip. Once I get to half a loaf, the bag performs beautifully on its own.

Nice strong stable product. have not tried to clean it yet, so not sure on that. But it's definitely good size with ample room for our bread and rolls. magnet closure is very strong.

It was either at Francois Payard or Eric Kayser (on the Upper East Side of Manhattan) that I first saw this. They served the bread &miniature Jam and Nutella inside it. It left an impression on me because it looked very cute and elegant. Years later I found this by chance on Amazon, and was thrilled.

No magnets.

Bought these before. Years ago. And I love the thick quality. So, Bought this once because it had magnets. Mine did not. It’s just the bowl. Bummed. Cause I already have bowls. Bought this for the magnets. Beware. If u don’t have magnets. It won’t stay closed. So expect a bowl.

althought the dimensions are clearly written out, I expected something different - my fault. I had expected soemthing a little larger, large enough to hold my homemade loaves of bread; this would have been both too small to hold a loaf and too short to fold the top over to close. I also expected something that would keep the bread fresh, like maybe a plastic lining, which this did not have. Had I been looking for a bread basket, something to sit on the table and hold rolls or buns or short loaves of bread, this might have done the trick. as it was, I returned the item; not through any fault or defect, it just wasn't something i thought I would find useful, after all.
