I love Steiff stuffed bears because the quality is generally top notch. Well…then Luca came along. First off…I’ve honestly NEVER had a stuffed animal shed on me like this one did. Seriously, never. I guess “shedding” is better than…well, you know! Second of all….I don’t know who or how they measured this lil guy… a different Steiff bear I have is 13” (yes, I know, standing not sitting) and he looms over this guy like there’s no tomorrow. You could stuff two of these guys in that one! Thirdly, and lastly, Steiff … you have lost my respect and my business. Shame on you for outsourcing to other countries to save a dime…or a franc or whatever. The founder of Steiff, Margarete Steiff, would be utterly ashamed to see how you’ve taken her beloved company and desecrated it. I have lost all interest in continuing my Steiff collection. You were started in Germany, EVERYONE equates the Steiff name with being “hand made in Germany” (although now I’m questioning the “handmade” claim from other countries you outsourced to, like what?
