I bought both the regular thin version of this mousepad as well as the thick padded version. Both are great mousepads with identical feeling cloth surfaces that have smooth tracking and consistent surfaces. They work great for productivity or gaming. The medium size is more than enough for me, I think large would only be necessary if you like to game with a really low sensitivity. Besides the foam padding, the main difference between the thick and thin versions is that the thick one takes *forever* to flatten out since they are both shipped rolled into a tube. I've had two 5lb weights and a book on top of the pad and I think it'll take a full week to 100% flatten. If you don't need the cushion I would highly recommend getting the regular thin version.

The SteelSeries QcK XXL mouse pad has completely elevated my desk setup. The cloth surface feels buttery smooth and gives excellent tracking for both high- and low-DPI movements. It’s big enough to fit both my keyboard and mouse with room to spare, so I don’t have to worry about running off the edge mid-game. The stitching around the edges feels durable and hasn’t frayed even after weeks of heavy use. It also stays put on my desk — no slipping or sliding during intense sessions. Whether I’m gaming or working, it gives my mouse a consistent surface and feels great under my wrists. This SteelSeries QcK mousepad is the best for its value to quality! In the past I have tried and worn out some standard office mouse pads, the large gaming mousepads, and other gaming mousepads such as a razer mousepad in the past. Though, I have never been more satisfied in the texture, performance, and size of a mousepad more than this one for so long as I am currently using it. It is an awesome mousepad for gaming in fps titles and for standard usage. The only few complaints is 1) I have about it is that when you first obtain it you MUST weight it down using a laptop or some textbooks on a table to fully unroll it. It took a couple days, like 3 of weighing it down with 2.3kg (5lbs) laptop to get it mostly flat. Then after a couple days more of use, it settled down flat on my table. Not a big problem if you are not in an immediate need of a gaming mousepad. 2) The logo, it is a gratuitous issue which could have been printed on the underside of the mousepad. Other than that it is not a problem if you are not one for looks. 2.5) It is a thick mousepad, with the item I got I personally do not see or feel the complaints about it being squishy. I suppose that if you are planning to have a gaming mousepad that fits flush on a normal desk or for aesthetic uses, then this may not be for you. Appearance wise, if you want a mousepad that says: I am serious about what I am doing on my pc; Than this mousepad may be just right for you. All in all, it is a great mousepad, one of the best I have owned with little to nothing to complain about.

After two years of use, the cable lights around the cloth are dead and not working at all. I thought it was just a meme on Reddit where people said that SteelSeries' products wont last six months, but they were correct. I would not recommend buying this $70 product if the lights are going to die after a few months.

I purchased a very similar SteelSeries mouse pad several years ago. Same brand, close to the same large size (16" x 35"), and I loved it. It was much thicker back then, and that really made it feel premium. This newer version still works just fine. It's smooth, clean, has no snags, and the mouse glides over it effortlessly. It even comes in a sealed SteelSeries box, which is a nice touch. However, I have to say I was disappointed with how thin it is now compared to the older version I have. It's easily about half the thickness. This one is 2mm thickness according to the box, while the previous one was probably 3 to 4mm. It feels noticeably lighter and thinner than a traditional mouse pad, especially for a larger size like this. It seems clear they've cut back on materials over time, which is unfortunate for those of us who liked the thicker design. That said, for the price and size, it's still a decent product, and it does the job. I just wish they hadn't compromised the quality. Because of that, I can't give it five stars, but I will give it a solid four stars for overall usability and quality.
