Description

The World's Fastest Keyboard, Just Got Smarter. Stay one step ahead of everyone else with the world's fastest and first Hall Effect magnetic switch gaming keyboard. Featuring upgraded OmniPoint 3.0 Adjustable HyperMagnetic Switches, change the actuation range from 0.1 mm to 4.0 mm, adapting to fast- paced gaming or deliberate, precise typing. This results in 20x quicker actuation and 11x faster response times. Rapid Trigger is a game-changer, eliminating latency by resetting each key as soon as you lift your finger, allowing for super-responsive counter-strafing and repeated keystrokes. A SteelSeries-exclusive setting, Protection Mode, further reduces the chances of mistyping by lowering the sensitivity of keys surrounding your current press. Manage this arsenal of settings with one-click ease thanks to GG QuickSet — curated presets for top games, letting you skip all the tinkering. Rapid Tap prioritizes the most recent key press in a selected pair without needing to release the previous key, enabling faster input. With up to 5 key pairings, you’ll be more responsive than ever, whether counter-strafing, peeking, or slide canceling. Rounding out these options is your dedicated command center in the form of an OLED Smart Screen, which can switch out the settings without any Alt-Tabbing, as well as conveniently Play/Pause/Skip media. It wouldn't be a SteelSeries product without fancy RGB and our new key-specific illumination, so you can glow up when you blow up enemies. The RGB can also sync with other devices via Prism. We've elevated the typing experience even further with triple layer sound-dampening foam and per-key lubrication to make it super- smooth. With Double Shot PBT keycaps, expect a lifetime of durability. Typing is also comfortable for your wrists with ergonomic tilt legs that feature three adjustability options.

  • One of the nicest keyboards.
Color: Black Size: Pro TKL Style: Gen 3 Wireless
TLDR: It's just awesome. Recommended. General: So this is my first SS keyboard that I've tested, so I will be mostly comparing to Corsair. First and most important, the switches are really good... this keyboard should be compared/competing to Wooting mostly. Omnipoint 3.0 actuation range and general 'feel' is awesome. And before continuing, I should also note — and it's a good 'weak point' you could say — NOT EVERY SWITCH is Omnipoint, and this is more noticeable in the full version: Numpad, Arrow Keys, and Nav Keys are NOT Omnipoint. I don't know if they're brown/red switches, also not sure if OEM or another brand. Being realistic, this doesn't make too much sense. Build Quality: I find the quality just excel. I really really like the 'feel' of the keycaps, it's like you're not touching plastic. It's like some kind of metallic/rough feel but really smooth. Software: Now the top of the cake — and also issues: the software. I read all days people running into issues with GG Engine, Sonar and etc (SteelSeries Brand-Software). You should know that on Windows 11 you are very likely to experience some issue. I have W10 LTSC and I've been running really smooth, 0 issues. So, you can modify everything: RGB Config using prism, Sync RGB between devices. You also have people-made apps for game-sync with the keyboard, providing info, example: Playing LOL, sets the screen to dragon/baron timers, updates if someone slays them, sets YUIOP color depending if your teammates and you are alive or not and much more.. Actuation strength from 0.1 to 4mm per individual key You can select groups Activate SOCD and Rapid Trigger It also has Protection Mode that's really useful You can set Meta Keys and double-level actuation (you can set a key to do two actions depending on actuation range) OLED, RGB and Feel: The OLED Screen is... well, it's just a nice thing to have. You can put gifs and it's really beautiful. It can also show game info, media info, and you have a volume wheel too. You can set actuation range from here. The RGB is really nice — I find it better than my Corsair keyboards, but that's personal preference. Wireless, latency and typing: I don't have any latency using wireless, battery duration is decent — not the best, but it gets the job. I use the dongle extension so I can charge it quickly if I have to. One final note about switches is that, IDK if it's me, but with these switches I can really feel the pressure I'm doing on the key and be precise. Wrist Rest: The magnetic wrist is solid and might feel not premium, but that's totally wrong. It has a really really NICE rubberish material and feels really comfy. The magnet doesn't even move. Profiles: Ending, you also have Quickset profiles (preset profiles made by people): Changing keys, actuation points, activating protection/rapid tap/SOCD etc. for each game, and you can set yours and make different profiles. Final Thoughts: I don't want to keep talking but I could review more aspects. It's a really nice keyboard. ... show more

  • Best keyboard I've ever used
Color: White Size: Pro TKL Style: Gen 3 Wired
The keyboard has literally like no input delay when you optimize it for what you need to do. I play Fortnite, and this increased my edit and build speed by a lot. The lights look great and are the perfect brightness (which can be adjusted) but the lights look great. The keyboard is very sturdy and heavy making sure it wont slide around when gaming. Highly recommend using the wrist rest it comes with. It's very comfortable and the perfect height. The keys feel really nice and smooth and the sound is just honestly really satisfying. When typing, it feels like the keys are floating. I got the keyboard in white and it looks great with the silver backing. 10/10 keyboard. Highly recommend. ... show more

Amazing keyboard, lightning fast and super easy to configure. Amazing build quality and not to noisy. It has a metal finish that feels great and looks even better.

  • Better than Corsair k100 but can't save RGB settings onboard
Color: Black Size: Pro Full Size Style: Gen 3 Wired
I have owned a Razer Black widow Cherry Blue, Corsair k70 Cherry Red, Corsair k70 silver speed, Logitech G915 low profile red and Corsair K100 OPX. I must tell you that out of all the keyboards I have owned I like this one the best. The keyboard I am switching out from is the K100. I never really loved the k100, the first one I received had a loud pinging noise so I returned it for another and it was better but the sound and feel just wasn't something I fell in love with. The logitech G915 gave me finger fatigue due to the heavier actuation force required to push down on a key. The G915 Macro keys can also only save simple macros. Anything complex and it won't save, I confirmed this with their customer service when I thought I got a defect. Anyway, This Apex Pro Gen3 is amazing, it feels nice and sounds great. It doesn't have the Extra Macros keys but I don't really need them. There are two cons to this keyboard... 1. No USB Passthrough in Gen 3 2. You can save your macros and key settings to onboard memory but you cannot save PRISM settings which are the RGB settings. I switch back and forth from my desktop to my work laptop and I do not want to install the Steel Series software on it but every time I go back to it the colors fall back to default but my macros are still there. This keyboard would be 5 stars if the color settings had the capability to save onboard. I hate the default lights on it when I switch to my work Mac ... show more
