I am new to tongue drums. I purchased the 13 inch Lotus in navy blue (15 Tongues). I wanted versatility to improvise or play songs, and this did both. I was prepared to be disappointed, but when I opened the box, I was blown away. The drum is stunning, and what is even more important, the sound is wonderful.The little holes on the larger tongues of the Lotus give added undertones, a feature often seen in high end expensive drums. I downloaded the panotuner free app, and the notes were far more in range than I was expecting based on other reviews. My husband had no idea what I had just received, but when I struck just a few notes with the included mallets, he was a fan. The bag I received was perfectly good, even quite nice, so I don’t know if it has recently been improved, but no complaints here. Also, the included instruction booklet is made of high quality paper and included a big song variety to get you started. It is not a simple pamphlet as others include. Definite value added there. So I highly recommend this one, and I see myself picking up more to give as gifts.

Super fast shipping, this bell drum is AWESOME! Beautiful long overtones and fundamentals, this thing heals with every mallet hit! Super easy to play and make sonorous pulchritude! (look. it up). Perfect pitch too, clearly was tuned at the factory. Carbon steel with powder coat will last forever, it will make music, just waiting for you to strike it!

Really cool tongue drum. I like that it is larger than most others offered. It has a great sound and is fun to play. The mallet is durable. I would like the carrying case to be more durable. The case is a very light cream color which means it gets dirty easy. Makes a great gift though and sounds like a quality instrument.

Well, this is very subjective... but I was lucky enough to find and buy this 14 inch 15 note tongue drum for 2/3 LESS than normal listed price. (Imo very cheap.) So that helps re to like and keep it. I also just received a very expensive handmade 35cm Tongue Drum. Important; neither one plays well with fingers/hands alone!! They both require using mallets for decent sound. However, with mallets, this drum sounds (and sustains) surprisingly well even compared to the pricey handmade 'B-minor Oceanic'. It's described as 'G-major' but the box is labeled 'G-minor. Not an issue for me. Okay, the sound is not as marvelous as the 11 tongue hand made one... but still sounds very good! Totally usable! Again; with mallets. It came with a very nice padded carry case and other accessories as listed. So I'm keeping it! And considering it cost me A TENTH of the other one (after shipping and 'tariffs')... that's a no-brainer. Cheers!

I love 💘 my tongue drum! I'm not very musical, but I would like to be! I tried to start somewhere with this drum. It is relaxing and fun. Sounds great! I am learning Christmas songs to play for Jesus! I can play "Away in the Manger" already! So glad I got it. It is heavy, professional grade,and well made! Excellent instructions and all tools included 😀

The whole drum kit is very nice but at least three of the notes/petals were slightly out of tune. The other notes sounded so soft and mellow we wished that the dead notes would have rang out like that. This was a gift for my wife so I’m returning it and we may try another brand in the future.
