Steam has become my favorite place to buy video games. I love PC gaming and Steam is my preferred store/outlet. These gift cards are great for any PC gamer who has a Steam account. One of the best parts about Steam is that you purchase digital games that remain in your library. You can install, uninstall, and reinstall these games as you wish on any PC. I would (and actually have done this) use a GameStop gift card to buy a Steam gift card. That should tell you something. :) ... show more

    • Wish they just emailed me the code.
Poor quality peel and reveal mechanism. The card ended up damaged and the numbers obfuscated. I contacted Amazon for support since I was unable to return it. Wow. The person i spoke with much have been new. I was put on hold multiple times and asked for the number on the front of the card. There isn't a number on the front of the card. About 30 seconds into the Amazon call it became clear this person was not going to be able to help and certainly not in a timely manner. By the time the Amazon rep verified my email address a 3rd time, I had snapped pics of the card and submitted them to Steam, got a response and a working code. I thanked the Amazon rep and said everything is now fine but he kept on insisting he send me an email. My inbox is now blowing up with emails from this rep and the link to submit photos of the card is broken. SMH. ... show more

    • Good way to convert gift cards into steam money.
There are two places that offer it for $20.25 under new plus the $4.00 shipping (which I think if you buy two the shipping will be free.) Ignoring the shipping, you're spending about $0.25 more than you would for one in real life, so it's negligible. I got mine from SoCalDeal I think they're called, and it was great and worked perfectly. It's a decent way to change gift cards to steam money. You can get a gamestop gift card for the flat rate, but this was less of a hassle for me. If you don't have any forced Amazon funds, don;t get it unless you honestly cannot get it any other way. ... show more

    • Great under certain circumstances
Not very convenient, since you have to wait for the physical card to be mailed to you. But when you have an amazon.com gift card and you want to use it to buy a steam game, this is the way to go. That is, assuming the card is in stock, which most of the time it's not.

THE PEOPLE THAT I GAVE IT TO HAD PROBLEMS WITH THEM ALMOST EVERYONE SAID THAT WHEN THEY TRIED TO ACTIVATE THEM IT INDICATED THAT THE GIFT CARDS WERE ACTIVE ALREADY WHEN I TRIED TO CONTACT AMAZON ONE PERSON SAID THAT I WOULD HEAR FROM THEM THROUGH EMAIL BUT I DID NOT HEAR FROM ANYONE WHATS GOING ON WITH YOUR GIFT CARDS I EVEN BOUGHT AMAZON GIFT CARDS IN THE STORE AND ALSO HAD THE SAME PROBLEM AGAIN WHATS GOING ON WITH YOUR GIFT CARDS WHY ARE THEY NOT WORKING PROPERLY ... show more

    • Finally matches up with the price it should be.
I was pleasantly surprised to see this for $20, as it seemed like for the longest time the only way to buy a Steam card off here was to pay far more than the cards worth, on top of shipping. However, it seems Valve came to realize this and has everything in order, which couldn't make me happier. Only thing that sucks is due to the issues this had over the last couple years, the rating is extremely low, but hopefully over time people will begin to realize that those issues are now just a problem of the past. Also, some complaints I've seen recently are complaining that they had to pay shipping, which isn't a complaint because if you don't have Prime then you've gotta pay shipping. This is a physical card, not an Online code. Whenever something is an Online code, it says it right in the product title. ... show more
