I wasn't able to find nor really afford the Black Series Dark Saber so I went with this as my next option. I was surprised that the quality of the saber was very nice, good weight to it, a little short since its a kids toy, but the light up and sound effects were right on point. I really liked it and great price point, very much worth the money. I used it as part of my Mandalorian Raw Print Cosplay and took it with me to the Hollywood Bowl for John Williams' Concert. Compare to all of the official Darksabers available now, this product captures the most Darksaber features for $30~40. Sure.. the appearances is based on Rebel version and even that is not quite accurate. But Hasbro did a good job on this one compare to Black series elite version where it has some negative points besides the value of the high price. The only minus of this product is what most people said, the length and the LED light on the blade. It still good compare to Rubies Darksaber. But they could have done better with putting more LED and make it longer. But I can understand that since it's a toy version. ... show more

    • Wow... this is actually a very nice "kid-friendly" sword (adults will like it too)
Nice quality. Takes 3 AAA batteries that come installed. It has two settings for different special effect sounds and of course lights. It is motion sensitive and thus swinging the sword makes specific sounds. It is kid tough to a degree... so you can do some light fighting with this sword (the impacts cause effects too). Overall, very nice. Heh... my wife loves it and it goes well with her Mando helmet. We are now set for Comic palooza. ;-) ... show more

My kids love these but one of the light sabers (we purchased two of these) lights and sounds quit working properly after about a week and this is not due to a battery issue. Also my kids have not been rough playing with them. Wish they were more durable/better made.

My only issue would be the spacing of the lights, they would look better if they were a strip instead of individual light sources.
