Description

Aluminum surfaces need special care and treatment in order to maintain their shine, which is why you need Star brite Ultimate Aluminum Polish with PTEF. Formulated specifically for use on aluminum, Star brite Ultimate Aluminum Polish with PTEF creates a barrier against dirt and stains as well as UV rays that can cause a once-shiny surface to become dull and lifeless. The PTEF Polymers bond to the treated areas, sealing it against grime and stains. Note: If aluminum is dirty or stained, first treat it with Star brite Ultimate Aluminum Cleaner/Restorer, then apply Ultimate Aluminum Polish with PTEF to protect and maintain the restored finish. Star brite Aluminum Polish with PTEF is also very effective at removing white stains left when hull cleaners are not completely rinsed from surface. Directions: Clean thoroughly as directed and allow the cleaned surface to dry. Star brite Aluminum Polish will neutralize any remaining acids and seal the aluminum with a protective coating and a more uniform shine. Step 1. Shake the bottle well. Apply evenly with a clean, dry cloth working in small areas in a circular, overlapping motion to ensure uniform coverage. Rub it in well; the polish works while wet, so reapply to the cloth as needed. Star brite Aluminum Polish may be applied by hand or with a buffer. Discoloration on the cloth indicates oxidation is being removed. Replace the cloth as often as needed to avoid rubbing oxidation back onto the clean surface. Step 2. Once the polish dries to a haze, buff the treated area with a clean, soft, dry cloth. Replace the cloth as needed. Chalky, oxidized surfaces may require repeat applications. Apply Star brite Ultimate Aluminum Polish annually to reduce oxidation build-up for a lasting shine with minimal effort.

Doesn’t work very well. Polished aluminum gunnels on my Bass Tracker. Had to polish 2 times and I used a power buffer and still not much more shinny then when I started.

Takes some time, patience and elbow grease but this really cleaned the aluminum on my parents 25 year old boat. Pretty caustic so wear PPE.

After supper clean siding I was hopping for protective coating to finish with, but it end up a nightmare. No matter what I did it left massive black streaks which were removable with acid only. Very disappointed, perhaps it was not right product for my application. See attached picture. Additionally I was looking to reach customer service for help but I'd not find it on Amazon. Purchase after purchase after purchase and then we purchased Star Brite Aluminum polish from Amazon and was amazed. We will not have to continue to go to the local auto store to make our purchases. Over the years of polishes that have been purchased really makes us rethink what we will do going forward. This is a product that totally stopped our many visits to the local auto store only to wish that we would have found this sooner.
