  • Works great. Excellent price.
A glamper once criticized this cookset because it was so heavy. For the $100 difference in price, I'll deal with the extra few grams of weight. This is one piece of equipment that I've never regretted purchasing. It's been to 10 different states in the US and cooked probably 200 meals on campfires and alcohol/propane stoves and on my kitchen range. At one point it was completely black with soot and I thought it was permanent until I sprayed some oven cleaner on it and then it looked like new. It packs easily into the exterior pocket of my backpack. If you remove one cup, it has enough space for a micro-stove. With both cups you can store fuel tablets which is enough to boil water for tea/oatmeal/etc. The folding handle is convenient and stays cool enough to use without gloves. The included cups are tiny but enough for a cup of coffee/tea. Cleanup is easy and except for one disaster with burned rice, cleaned up with just some soapy water. As mentioned, I used some over cleaner on the outside and it looked brand new. And it's durable. I've dropped it a bunch of times, banged it on rocks to empty it, and generally treated it like a piece of hardware. If it were a $120 titanium "cooking system" it wouldn't be nearly as much fun. ... show more

  • Wasn't sure Stanley could improve upon this great design....They did!
The Stanley Adventure cookset has been a staple in my outdoor kit bag for a while and I absolutely loved it. When I saw that it was being replaced by the new Wildfare design I was skeptical that such a great little piece of gear could be noticeably improved upon and expected some compromises in the new design. Boy was I wrong! The Wildfare is slightly larger with an increased capacity in both the cookpot and the cups. The new lid design, although not backward compatible with the Adventure cookset, has an improved lid lifter and great fit. The slightly wider bottom fits my small stoves even better that the previous version. The real bonus is that even with the size improvement, you can still slip this pot into a Glacier style camp mug! It does not bottom out in the external mug so you can even store a few bits of small gear in the Glacier. I was able to get a full size Bic, a small scrubber, and some tinder with room to spare. This Cookset is not the lightest on the market and some ultra-light backpackers will still clamor for titanium products, but if you are looking for great functionality, solid build, and affordable pricing, the Wildfare cookset is good to go. ... show more

  • 3 products together make a PERFECT moto camping or backpacking solution!
This review is shared for 3 items: the Stanley Wildfare Go 4-Piece (ASIN B0CZ4N6JYS), the REDCAMP Mini Alcohol Stove (B07NYNV18K), and the 4.5" Gas Ring Trivet (ASIN B0DNVVTRPM) and how they combine into a single, small camping cook solution for moto camping or backpacking. See photos. 1) All parts shown in order. 2) The stove goes right side up into its provided bag. 3) The bag drops into the pot. 4) One cup only drops in up side down. 5) Matches/lighter or whatever will fit sits on the cup. 6) The stove stand slides into the pot up side down - align the pot rivets into one of the recesses. 7) The lid goes on and is clamped in place by the pot handle. But... there is a problem! 8) The Stanley pot does not sit safely on the Redcamp stove stand and WILL fall over - and using the stand up side down causes the flames to come out the sides. 9) Solution: the ring trivet fits perfectly on the stand and will not slide off. 10) The pot sits securely on the trivet with all heat going to the pot. ... show more

  • Amazing little pot
Perfect little pot for camping and coffee. The cups are larger than they look in the photo. They would be perfect for a small camp or overnight. But probably too heavy for serious backpacking. The pot is easy to clean and well built. Stanley lives up to its name in quality.

  • Nice size
It is nice and useful much like older models, but is bigger. My old ones have marks every four ounces which I really liked. This one only has 8 ounce increments--one cup, two cups, etc. plus milliliters.

  • Volume saver
This pot works perfectly for me. I had specific needs in my new cook pot: usable over coals as well as camp stove, fit over my 40 oz Klean Kanteen bottle to save volume (lid goes under and cloth goes between metal parts to control noise), be large enough for the water needs of a meal and hot drink, strong, and not brutalize my budget. This one does everything I wanted, awesome. I gave away the insulated cups, because my bottle is inside, and just put my bowl-like insulated plastic mug from Japan (got it on Amazon, as well) over my bottle. Happy! I definitely recommend this pot. ... show more

  • Love it, even better than the Adventurer Kit.
Not much to go wrong here, everything works, everything was fine. however some people have complained that the lid is easy to take off/ on but they don't know wtf they're talking about, the original had a lid that had to be pressed on a little and this made it harder to get off to check to see if your water was boiling yet, that made it more of a hazard because you had to hold the pot with one hand while lifting the lid with the other and that made it dangerous while it was on the stove, the easily removed lid is so much better and not as dangerous because now all you have to do is lift it off without it sticking and knocking it off the stove spilling hot beverage everywhere...way to go Stanley, I love these new pots and insulated cups. ... show more
