The media could not be loaded. 40oz and fits in the cup holder, what more could you ask for!? The top has a swivel, so you can sip from the cup or a straw. It does come with a hard plastic straw which I did not like, so for a while I sipped from the cup, but turning up 40oz is a bit much, so I ordered the silicone straw you see in the video from Amazon (purifyou brand), and that made it perfect. I love this neutral color, the sturdy handle, and the fact that it fits in my cars cup holder (VW Jetta). It also keeps my water cold even when I leave it in the 113 degree super hot car for a while. I wanted to see what the hype was about. I drink way too many iced coffee drinks. I also love warm green tea. So far, this cup is far superior to the ones I have. My iced coffee is still iced coffee 3 hours later.! No melting whatsoever. And this is one strong cup! I'm pleasantly surprised so far. Was it worth the price? I like the size of the cup so I always have water to drink while at work. I also like that it fits in my cup holder in the car. I don’t always put ice in it, but when I do, it’s stays cold through my work day. I can’t say that it lives up to the hours stated in the description though. It is not leak proof because there is a hole where the straw goes, so if you tilt it, it will leak. See photo. For the person who said it is for left handed people only - this is not true. It depends on where you start to twist the top onto the cup. Start it on the backend with the handle to your right and twist it on and the handle will be set for your right hand. Love the grapefruit color. They are also fairly heavy when filled with ice and water. They are a bit pricey for what they are, but I don’t regret buying it. ... show more

    • Comparing Stanley with Sursip: weight vs leak
The media could not be loaded. So, I bought two different types to compare: the Stanley for my hubby and the Sursip for me. The Sursip said it was leakproof but the Stanley did not so I don’t know why Amazon has you rate the Stanley for that. The Stanley is much lighter and taller which makes it easier to fit into my car drink holder . We did test out the temperature and it holds both hot and cold drinks well. However, as a teacher who needs at times to carry her drink in a bag, this is a not go for me. The Sursip was heavier from the start and wide. It fiits in my drink holder but the width of the top makes it bulky and awkward as I drive . However, without the straw, after the liquid caught in the lid drained (just watch for that ) it was leakproof. The Stanley comes across as a nicer look and feel, but I wonder if I had purchased a different colour in the Sursip if it would have a different texture. Honestly …I love Sursip’s value and leakproof but the Stanley has the overall feel, look, and weight - and width I would prefer. ... show more

First of all, I had to give two stars for "leak proof" because it comes with a straw. There is no way using this that any product could be leak proof. Of course, if the straw is removed and the hole sealed, it will not leak. But I think to judge "leakiness" in this type of design is misleading. The outside is very sturdy and the insulation is great! It keeps liquids cold or hot for hours. I especially like the fact that it is 40 oz. so I can easily monitor my water intake. Also, I like that the very bottom is flared in, so it will fit in a car's cup holder (unlike other mugs). It is well worth the money. ... show more

A great cup, enjoy using it, it keeps ice all day long, great color. Love the rubber pads/grip on the handle for thumb and fingers. This design feature seems distinctive to the Stanley cup. I also purchased a similar but much more reasonably priced cup from a different company but it didn’t have these grips. The tapered base fits great in a drink holder in the car.
