The cable tie set with tightening tool has several nice features. PROS: * This high quality Stainless Steel gun set comes with a robust and finely crafted pliers-style puller with a built in cutoff jaw. * The set also includes a large supply of ties, three identical release tools, a separate cut-off tool, a ring-style tie holder and a zippered storage bag. * Heavy weight pliers-style tightening tool has separate handles to draw in and cut off. * Great for use where high strength, high temperature and low reflection are desired. * Standard size MM ties also fit in light-weight gun-style tools. * Great for applying dark-colored insulation to wires, hot pipes and stacks. * Extra large storage bag for easy transport. * Automatic belt-loop tie holder is great for setting multiple ties overhead or in tight spaces. * Handy separate cutter plus three release tools for professional results. * Epoxy coating improves appearance and protects softer bundled items. * Tightening action is continuous and relies on a tiny ball being drawn into a tapered sleeve. * Easily released and re-used by pushing the ball out of the sleeve with the release tool. I had never used stainless steel zip ties before, and honestly, I didn’t even know a dedicated installation tool existed. After using this kit, it makes perfect sense why it does. The kit includes the tensioning tool, a pair of snips, several sizes of epoxy-coated 304 stainless steel zip ties, and a convenient carrying case, along with a job site belt loop to hold your zip ties while you're working. It’s well suited for outdoor projects on vehicles, fences, chicken coops, or anywhere a standard plastic zip tie might eventually fail from UV exposure or weather. The tool itself feels solid and well made, and the built-in cutter works very well. It’s a fairly manual process, but once you understand how it works, it produces clean, tight, professional-looking installations. My only real complaint is that the kit included no instructions at all. Since I’d never used stainless steel zip ties before, it wasn’t immediately obvious how to operate the tool. I watched a short video online, and after that everything made perfect sense. Even a simple one-page instruction sheet would make this kit much more beginner-friendly. Overall, this is a well-made kit at a competitive price. Once you know how to use it, it works exactly as intended and is a great addition to the toolbox for anyone who needs durable, weather-resistant cable ties.

This zip tie gun works well with the included metal ties. I was hoping it would also work with the plastic ones, but it appears to be incompatible. I have not tried it to be honest. Anyway, this is a great kit for using with metal ties. It appears to be well made and sturdy.

The set provides all the pieces to install, tighten and cut stainless zip ties. I've used plastic zip ties over the years and have seen their three weakness, limited strength, failure due to sun exposure and heat limitations. These metal zip ties are much stronger than plastic, won't degrade due to the sun and can be installed in high temperature areas. The installation tool is easy to use by threading the loose end in, squeezing the handle and rotating the cutting arm. With this tool, you can apply additional force to draw items together or create a tight zip tie band. The tool may also work to tighten and cut plastic zip ties. The set includes a pair of metal shears to cut the ties if you don't want to use the cutting feature on the tightening tool. A caution; the cut end of the metal zip tie is sharp. The only other drawback of metal zip ties is if used to secure electrical wires prone to vibration. The metal zip tie may wear through the wire insulation over time. Extra wire wrap may minimize this concern. If an extra long zip tie is needed, several zip ties can be daisy chained together. Overall, a comprehensive set of ties with well made tools at a reasonable price
