I was skeptical of this was 316 stainless steel because the photos didn’t feature any markings, but single-wall 316 water bottles are hard to find. I decided to give it a try. When it arrived, I found the stamp on the inside on the bottle of the bottle: SUS316. I looked this up. “SUS in stainless steel stands for Steel Use Stainless, a designation used in Japan to identify various stainless steel grades… which is equivalent to AISI in other standards.” So SUS316=AISI316 which is all to say authentic 316 stainless steal. I’ve had it for about 2 months now. It does its job well and meets my hydration needs: lightweight, plastic-free, and holds up well for reverse osmosis water and salted electrolyte water with no signs of leeching or corrosion. It never leaks, but of course it sweats with cold water and gets hot with hot water since it’s single-wall. I was expecting this. I also like that it’s 25 ounce instead of 24. That extra space helps. I would knock off 1/2 a star for the design of the cap. The threads or something needs to be improved. Unless you start the cap in the right spot, it does not easily close and makes that painful metal-on-metal sound, which grating for my sound sensitivity. Although my sound sensitivity is not a company’s problem, it’s overall not easy to close quickly. Maybe that’s a good thing because it forces us to slow down and be mindful in the moment. Overall, I’m satisfied, especially considering the great price-point. I do recommend this item.

Fits in the standard water bottle filler. It’s so big, the filler stops filling before the bottle’s full, so you have to remove and replace the bottle for a second filling to get the bottle full. That’s due to the filler’s settings though, not a complaint about this bottle. There is a design flaw though: I wash these, including the lids, in the dishwasher and the lids are a terrible design. They trap water (and soap and whatever else is in the water) inside, and you can’t get the water out! Gross. But I haven’t found a better alternative. They should look at Kleen Kanteen lids for their better design.

It is minimalist, obviously, but you probably know if you are the sort of person that likes those built-in plastic drinking straws or insulation, and not thinking of buying this if you are.

Ordered the 17 ounce version. It's a good water bottle, would order again. We often have no use for insulation, so we like single-wall bottles like this one (equally voluminous as double-walled yet more capacious). They're hard to find in this folding-handle style that we also like as it lets the bottle fit in a smaller space (in contrast with others that have a tall, rigid handle making them tough to squeeze into certain fanny packs, etc.). Stamped on the bottom it says 304, meaning a type of stainless steel. Magnets don't attract it. Filled to the max that it can hold with the lid screwed in, looks like capacity is between 17 and 18 ounces, closer to 17, but that's an estimate as it was poured into a 16 ounce measuring cup. Soon after, needed a shorter bottle to fit in a small pack so ordered the 12 ounce version. Received a box labeled twelve oz, but inside was a bottle exactly the same size and shape as the seventeen oz. The only difference is that instead of 304, what's stamped on the bottom is 316 SUS. (A somewhat more expensive type of stainless steel -- presumably they meant to stamp 316 SS, not SUS -- again tested and confirmed this bottle's not magnetic either.) The height not counting the handle (a much more useful measurement, since the handle folds) is 7 3/16 inches (18.3 cm). The height including fully extended handle is 8 3/8 inches (21.3 cm, not the 15 cm shown in the listing's dimensions picture). The diameter at the bottom does match the listing at about 2.8 inches (7 cm). The inner diameter of the neck of the bottle (i.e size of ice cube or tea basket that could fit) is 1 3/4 inches (4.4 cm).

Perfect ! I was searching for ages for a single walled stainless steel water bottle that was larger. I got the biggest size and it’s perfect- it’s pretty darn big but light and easy to carry around, also easy to clean and not too wide which I appreciate - it still won’t fit in most cup holders but it may fit in some and is easier to cram on the exercise equipment at the gym.
