Use them for reloading/malfunction drills. Randomly load them in several magazines to practice clearing your gun. Good quantity, durability, and visibility. Just make sure you check the price, some vendors overcharge for these.

These totally inert plastic rounds provide an excellent and safe why to practice handling a firearm. However, they are pricey for what you get; a shell casing (no cost for primer, powder, projectile) filled with a dab of orange plastic. For the price, they could have put 25 in a package and still made a huge profit. Clearly, safety is invaluable when training... but give me a break! ... show more

I am updating my review. These snap caps are sized perfectly, work great, and give an accurate feel for training. I tested these side by side with real cartridges and another brand of snap cap in a malfunction clearing drill, and found that these accurately replicated exactly what the real thing does. ... show more

    • Mix with real round in the range to overcome flinch
I didn't use it to dry fire (there is no need to put dummy round to dry fire in the modern centerfire handgun) It works when I mix them with real rounds and shoot in the range. Really helpful to overcome the recoil anticipation and flinch.
