I've been using Squirt for 6 years and I'm satisfied with the shifting and wear on my chain and gears, on my 24 speed recumbent bike that's only used on the road or bike paths at the park. I don't know how the wax would be on a dirty, sandy surfaces ?

Cold weather chain suck and hard shifting were eliminated on my mountain bike. Follow the directions and you will have good results. Let it dry overnight. Grit falls off. You add more instead of cleaning the chain often. I tried other lubes but it was chain suck and hard shifts with them. Give this one a go. Seems to work well, though I can't seem to tell the difference from when I use the regular lube (i.e. not the low temperature bottle) . I ride in 20 degree weather and this keeps the chain running smoothly. Can't say I know how it would work at colder temps.

Seems good on the fat bike during subfreezing temps. I use the regular formulation on my trail bike and both seem to run pretty long and clean. You must keep the stuff inside during winter and give it a good shake before using.

I use the regular temperature version of this through spring to fall and this low temp through the winter. I rider mostly MTB on a Salsa Bucksaw under extreme conditions of dirt/sand and always have a clean chain after a quick brush off. This stuff just falls off and carries the sand with it.
