5’10” around 230. I usually wear a size 14. After trying an XL in another brand, I ordered the 2XL in this brand and they were as tight, if not tighter, than the XL’s I tried. I could button them, but I don’t think they would have worked well if I was trying to do anything active. I ended up ordering a men’s XL in another brand that were plenty big to wear over clothes.

****Update*** A representative from the company was very nice and sent me a message to try to make it right. She offered me the next size up, which was backordered but she said they’d be available 2 weeks later. I patiently waited to see if they’d fit even though the chance of going to snow again this year is zilch. So a month went by and no pants. I figured they forgot or whatever until I go to my mailbox one day and pull out a big fluffy package, opened it up and here are the pants, yay! Tried them on and though I could button them this time, the thighs are like bear hugs. Walking around in the snow might not be too bad but sitting in the car to drive to a local resort would probably be difficult in these pants. I stand by my original assessment to order 2 sizes larger than your size. I’ll chalk it up to thick, warm, insulation in the pants making it a little tighter than expected. I needed snow pants to go for our very first trip to the snow. These looked cute enough and were reasonably priced so I gave them a go. By the size chart I should be an XL (the size I bought) but after struggling to pull them up I felt trapped and I couldn’t even pull them closed to attempt to button them if I wanted to! This isn’t like, “oops, I must have gained 5 pounds and need the next size up”, this is easily 2-3 times SMALLER than the size chart lends you to believe. Now I can’t play in the snow with my kids because I have no pants to wear since the sizing on these is ridiculously off!

I wear a size 12/14 so I ordered the XL and they fit good everywhere like through the hips/thighs, but the waste was tight, too tight to sit comfortably. I went up a size to XXL and they are perfect in the waste and a little big everywhere else, but not enough to bother me. They are warm and I haven’t gotten wet yet. I live in MI so we have some good winters with lots of snow fall. Oh and I am 5’6 and weigh 175 lbs. Hope this helps!! Over all good pants!

I got these ski pants to walk my dog in the winter I live in NH. I wear a pair of silk long johns under them as the first time I didn't have anything under and my legs got wet with sweat. I only have two small things that I would have liked on them. 1. It could have used another snap at the ankle to make them a bit tighter for people who are not using them for skiing. 2. The strap that you tighten for your waist. I would have preferred a sold piece of material rather than the elastic as I think that will stretch overtime. But all in all I love them they are windproof and keep me really toasty in the cold.
