I got this trellis for a couple of potted climbing plants, and overall I’m happy with it. It was fairly easy to put together, and I like that the height is adjustable. That makes it more practical than a lot of other plant supports, especially if your plant is still growing. The spiral shape works nicely for vines to wrap around, and it has been useful for my tomato plant and other climbing plants. It doesn’t take up too much space, so I think it’s a good option for containers, patios, balconies, or small garden areas. The metal feels decent and strong enough for normal indoor or outdoor use. I also like that it looks better than some bulky tomato cages. It gives the plant support without making the pot look messy. Once it’s set in place, it does the job well and helps keep the plant upright. The only thing I would mention is that you should make sure each section is connected tightly during assembly. After that, it works fine. For anyone looking for a simple adjustable trellis for potted plants, vines, tomatoes, or other climbing plants, this is a practical choice.

I would not buy this product. I bought two and following the directions, I put the pole together then I put the spiral on and as I stretched it down, as it got to the first hole for the piece that holds it in place the spiral broke away from the base. There are only two places where the spiral is attached to the base and when one pulls away, it puts more pressure on the other and the spiral is just out of shape. I then opened the second one and was much more careful. I tried to stretch the spiral down first before putting the base into place but the same thing happened. I don’t know if I did something wrong, but I followed the minimal directions that they give you and on both the spiral breaks away from the base. I tried to work with it thinking that maybe it wouldn’t be that big of a deal but when you examine it, you see that the spiral is just completely misshapen and there is so much pressure pulling on the one spot where it’s now attached to the base. I did not want to chance it having vines grow up in it pull away during the growing season. It’s very thin coated wire and it’s pretty small. It’s not as wide as you think it might when you look at the picture on Amazon.

My tomato plant outgrew this fairly quickly, and the tapered design of the spiral wasn't as supportive as my tomato needed, so I had to get taller stakes and tie those in as well. It's advertised with tomatoes, but probably better for other types of plants.

These worked for me because I was using them in my large pots to go upwards with my garden, but I have to wonder how well they would stay in the ground because the pole isn't very long on the bottom part. If I was using them in the ground I probably would get a piece of rebar or another pole and put it inside the pole to make it sturdier It is easy to build and does give you a space for a plant to climb This is not a large trellis, but will work for my sweet potato and whatever vine I put in my other pot I would not recommend it for something like a tomato because I think they would rapidly outgrow it The rod that creates the cage is thin, though it is well coated. Probably would last a few years depending on your weather. If I lived in a cold climate I'd definitely take it inside in the winter It is light weight and easy to place where you need it. Would definitely recommend you place it while your plant is young, because it was difficult for me to weave my plant through it All in all with the price it is a good deal. I would buy again if I needed another one for a garden area
