Description

Beat the Parents is the family showdown game where kids compete against their parents for household supremacy. There are more than just bragging rights at stake – each team must pick a wager before the game can begin. What are you willing to do if you lose? Wash the dishes? Treat the other side to movie night? Use the dry erase marker and wager board to put the stakes on display, and then start the competition. Each team reads trivia questions about their generation to the other side, moving their pawn on the board with every successful answer. Reach a Challenge space, and compete team vs team in crazy, up-and-active challenge. Make it to the end of the board first and complete one final challenge to be crowned the winners – and enjoy the wager you’ve just won. • Family fun
Color: Beat the Parents W/ 25 Bonus Cards - Ama...
I was looking for a new family game to shake up our regular game nights, and "Beat the Parents" was a perfect choice. The "kids vs. parents" concept is a simple but brilliant idea that gets everyone excited and a little bit competitive. What We Loved (The Pros): Tailored Questions: The fact that the questions are specifically designed for each team is what makes this game work so well. It's not a generic trivia game; the kids' questions are about video games, cartoons, and pop culture, while the parents' questions are about things they would know. It makes the game fair and fun for everyone. Wager System Adds an Extra Kick: The best part of the game is the wager board. We had a blast coming up with silly dares and challenges for the losing team (e.g., "The losers have to do the dishes for a week!" or "The losers have to make breakfast in the morning!"). It really raises the stakes and adds a lot of laughter. Easy to Learn: The rules are very straightforward. We were able to start playing just a few minutes after opening the box. This is great for family game nights, as you don't want to spend an hour just reading instructions. What Could Be Improved (The Cons): A Few Repetitive Questions: After playing a few times, we've started to see some questions repeat. It would be great if there were expansion packs or a larger variety of cards to keep the game fresh over time. Some Challenges Can Be Vague: A few of the "challenge" cards were a little confusing or didn't have clear rules, which led to a bit of friendly debate. But honestly, that's half the fun of a family game! Overall: "Beat the Parents" has become an instant hit in our household. It's a fantastic way to get everyone off their screens and into a fun, interactive activity. It brings out the competitive spirit in both kids and adults, and the wagers make the whole experience hilarious and memorable. If you're looking for a game that's perfect for family game night, this is a great one to add to your collection. ... show more

  • My kids are using this to manipulate me and my wife
Color: Beat the Parents-older Version
I got this on a whim cuz it looked fun and the price point was generous. I thought it was a good purchase, until about a month after it arrived. Within that time, my wife and our four kids would play this two, three times a week. It was a lot of fun. You can play it right out of the box with about 30 seconds of skimming the rules. Our youngest is 8 and she had no problem playing it. Our oldest is 17, and he had fun, too - so it scales really well by age. Anyway. A week ago, one of the kids asked us to play, and convinces us to make a wager related to something he wanted to purchase. Ok. A few days go by, and then his little sister asks to play, and convinces us to wager something she wanted to purchase. Yesterday, I caught three of them whispering frantically as they colluded for their next wager for the third sibling. I am at once proud and horrified. ... show more

  • Great game for the whole family, even without kids!
Color: Disney Edition- Beat the Parents
This was a hit with everyone!! We divided into teams either adults and kids mixed together and had a blast. It was funny to see people try and draw or hum tunes, act out scenes, etc. many of the adults post-game wanted to play again when the kids went down for the night. Added into the game night rotation. One thing I might recommend, if you have larger wipe boards, grab them. The ones in the game were a bit smaller than we wanted. ... show more

Fun, but not exactly made by people who speak the English language. Some answers are incorrect or misleading

  • Bluey game!
Color: Multicolor
Wonderful gift for 4-8 year old. Perfect for kids who love Bluey--familiar games and easy to learn. Better than the individual games seen (like keepy-uppy). Combines a bunch of episodes. VERY hands on--all members will need to be ready for action! Great fun for the family!

  • Fun and easy to play.
Color: Multicolor
Played this with 5 kids aged 3-11 that all had a blast. Some of the challenges are more fun than others so you have to kind of make them your own.

  • Great family game to encourage sibling bonding
Color: Classic 2025 Edition -Beat the Parents
Our children range from 1-8. I think my husband and I enjoyed this game even more than our kids! They played against us for either ice cream for dinner or an hour of quiet! The challenges are fun and kept the kids entertained. It was us against our 3, 7, 7, and 8 y/o children. We barely won! There is a good variety of challenges. It was worth the price for us! It’s good to get the kids to work together and be a team. ... show more
