Went to write this review because the rubber buttons on the case are actually an enhancement to the XR's buttons; it somehow makes them way easier to actuate. The case itself is more of the rubber inner than the powder-coated shell. I'd be comfortable calling the rubber part the actual case. The shell is precision plastic casting; very sharp, no burrs, and as I said, apparently with an apparent powder-coat finish. This is nice, but it does feel more slippery than my previous Zizo Bolt, which did its job as ablative armor (though the buttons were awful compared to an uncased phone and the gold model was out of production, which is why I changed. This also isn't gold but the price was right and so was the MIL-STD-810 G claim). It survived a slide off my bed so far and seems about as protective as my previous case. One thing I didn't like about the Bolt case was all its ridges. Though it snapped well at any orientation into its belt holder, who wears their phone on their belt? The main problem I have with all modern phones are the camera modules, buttons and chamfers preventing their accelerometers from being used as levels. The Bolt worked for that only on its back, but this one works on the edges too (though the rubber on the back extends above the shell by under 1mm, so certain smaller surfaces might have problems). (I want to apply to Apple's iphone engineering department to just get an interview so I can remove my XR from its case and spend the entire interview tapping the phone to pivot on its raised camera.) The kickstand uses a metal pin to maintain its tiny diameter; the case even comes with a pictographic explanation card (it's not very clear, but it tries) of what to do if the foot comes off the case; you take off the shell, slip the foot through the hole, and snap it into its retracted position. Because it uses metal, it's much less likely to break. Overall, it's a very sleek and attractive case, it mitigates several of Apple's design failures, though be careful that it doesn't slip out of your hand, and be aware that it does not include anything but the 3-part (rubber, shell, foot) case itself and you need to supply your own screen protector. (I recommend a privacy screen type, not because anyone's looking over your shoulder, just because if you share a room or a bed, the nature of a privacy screen means that light isn't being blasted out at an angle, so someone nearby in the dark will thank you.) This is the case after 2 years with very minimal cleaning. I absolutely love this case, I have dropped my phone about 100+ times and it has kept my phone in great condition. I have not cleaned the case much at all, but if you keep this case clean it will last for a long time. The only issues I have experienced are as follows: - Dirt stacks around the Camera very easily and it is hard to clean. - The case can be hard to clean sometimes - Sometimes the stand will fall out (easily when cleaning) I just want to say I love this case and I love the color and feel of it. I use the case stand all the time when I go out to eat, wash the dishes, or am just sitting around the house. Bought this just over a year ago and I still have it on my phone. I’ve dropped my phone and squeezed my phone with no resulting damages. Two things I wish it had and maybe the next version would have is a slight finger ridge, not a hoop or pop socket style just a ridge for a finger to help support it from the back instead of just the pinky while still being smooth enough to slip into my pocket hence why I said not a loop or pop socket. Also the stand is a little loose which isn’t the worst but it has to be either full open or full closed no in between, another cool revision would be for a slightly more stiff stand AND another on the other side. Other than that, very very happy with my purchase of this case. Thank you for making it as good as you have! I recommend others purchase it, hasn’t slipped out of my pocket yet but hasn’t been a pain to insert like those full rubber or clunky units! #frontpocket ... show more

I've dropped my phone on concrete, glass, hardwood floors, tiles, etc. This phone case has given my iPhone many (perhaps 50) extra lives. I purchased this case as gift specifically for its comparability for wireless charging stations. It works great! The sleek design and features are an added bonus for sure that sealed the deal.
