Spigen makes quality accessories for Apple products. That’s why I was a bit disappointed with this Apple Watch stand charger. I didn’t buy it as a travel accessory, and it’s certainly too bulky for travel. I bought it to replace a very similar nightstand charger I have, which doesn’t work with my new, much bigger Apple Watch Ultra. Here are the things that disappoint me: 1. Price. It cost me twice as much as my previous one, which also happens to be a Spigen. 2. Mount stability. My older Spigen has a little “lip” on the front which facilitates firm seating of the watch on the stand. This new version doesn’t have that, so you have to tinker with the position of the watch and the watch band to ensure that it’s indeed charging and that it doesn’t slip off. The magnet on the Spigen seems somewhat “wimpier” than Apple’s inductive charger that comes supplied with the Ultra. 3. When placed on the Spigen stand, the watch is not slightly angled back as depicted in the photos on the Amazon site. The watch sits 90 degrees (perpendicular) to my nightstand’s surface. I kind of liked the idea of it being slightly angled back, but this isn’t angled at all. 4. Charging time. The jury is still out on this subject. Using a good quality USB-C wall wart and Apple’s OEM USB-C inductive charger, the Apple Watch Ultra charges from less than 20% to 100% in under 90 minutes. I’ll have to update this review in a week or two to let you know if the Spigen is capable of similar performance. All for now…

I have a lightweight charger for travel (the one that came with my Apple Watch). What I wanted was a more heavyweight, surface-stable charger. This is PERFECT. It even comes with small strips you can apply under the watch side rest, so that differently-sized watches all make complete contact with the charger.

Very well made with a very heavy base that doesn’t slide around like other docks. The weight and rubber bottom makes the dock stay in one place when your watch is docked and charging. The MiFi certification is a must have in my opinion in order to maximize the life of your Watch. This charger does not fast charge like the newest Series 8 charger does, but it only takes about 2.5 hours to fully charge my Series 8 and it never gets hot. It does not work with all Watch cases that you may have. I have the Spigen Tough Armor Metal and it needs to be removed from the case to charge it. Overall, I would recommend it because of the great price-point and Spigen always makes excellent products.

The Spigen for Apple Watch Charging Stand is a nifty thing to have. It not only securely holds your Apple Watch in place, it does charge your watch relatively quickly. I like the built in power chord as opposed to getting a charging stand that comes with a micro USB charging cable. Micro USB, really? Why is this antiquated and less efficient system being used on newer, faster charging capable devices such as the Apple Watch? May as well save yourself some bucks and buy a cheaper silicon stand where you insert the charging cable that came with the watch? I only gave a four out of five stars for traveling due to the weight of the charger. While it isn’t impossibly the heaviest for travel, I prefer using it at home on my nightstand due to it’s built in charging cable and weight. For travel, I prefer a lighter weight silicone charging stand for use with the charging cable that came with my watch. I received my package containing two charging stands as I was headed out the door with my family last weekend for a two night trip. My husband and I tried them out on our Apple Series 6 and Series 7 watches and were quite pleased with their charging capabilities. Both are on our nightstands now. I also like the fact that the built in cable is six feet long which is ideal to connect behind a nightstand/table to the outlet behind. The weight issue isn’t really an issue, just a preference with how I prefer to use it. It still is light and small enough to pop into your luggage for travel. So whether you plan to use it at home, on the road or both, it’s a good buy!

This case works great with the Spigen rugged case for Apple Watch. Magnet holds watch securely in case. Nice looking and sturdy charging stand. I feel it is ridiculous that companies have quit including the wall adapter with electronic products. Great product otherwise.

The charger is very sturdy. It remains upright and in place even when a 45mm watch with a heavy band is placed on it. It looks great, much better than any other stands I have seen that use the Apple charge cable. It is a USB C charge cable however it does not charge as fast as the new Apple cables. I do not have the previous Apple cable so I do not know if it matches or beats the charging speed of those. I will use it as my primary charger however I have two Apple cables that I will have available if I want to fully charge my watch within an hour. The unit does not fold so some may feel that it is not good for traveling. I think if it did fold it is likely that it would not be suitable for the watch I have with a heavy SS link band. If it did charge as fast as the Apple cables I would rate the product as 5+ stars. Due to the slower charging speed I have only given it 4 stars, however I am very happy with the performance and impressed with the quality of the product.

Both of us are using these night-stand chargers for our Apple Watches. It allows us to be fully charged all day, charging only while we sleep. We also like the ability to touch the watch and see the time. The spacer pads allowed us to size the charging stand to perfectly fit our watch. The charging stand is also heavy enough and has a non-slip bottom, so it stays put. Make sure you have a USB-C charging adapter to plug it into.
