This review is for the entire Spiegelau Perfect Serve line of glasses because I purchased the SOF, DOF, longdrink, cocktail, coupette, and whisky decanter all from Amazon. The glasses are the perfect lineup for a home bartender. They are very affordable for non-leaded crystal and generally sturdy—the up glasses seem nice and thin but I haven’t broken one yet after 6 months of cocktail parties and dishwasher cleaning. I’ve had two sets of these glasses break in transit but this is a function of bad seller packaging rather than the quality of the glass. Each time, I was sent a replacement set for free. The glass sizes are perfect—in particular, I think modern cocktail (aka martini) glasses can be too big but these stand at a nice 5.8oz and are the perfect size for any martini without feeling like an alcoholic. Buy these glasses and enjoy the craft cocktail experience at home! ... show more

Wow. These coupettes are flawless. No damage, no seams. No pronounced lip that you would find on everyday drinking glasses. No designs or etchings above the base, keeping the focus on the liquid in the glass. This coupette holds 8 oz. If your drink is substantially larger, maybe you want to use a hurricane glass or a beer tulip. If you're making, say, a Manhattan or a basic Martini, maybe a smaller Nick and Nora or Martini glass would give you a better wash line. I have other cocktail glasses from other companies known for high quality, e.g. starting with an R. These are noticeably better quality. They're the best quality glasses I have. I actually received the beer tulips by accident on my first order, and will be returning them because I have plenty already. If I were keeping them, based on my inspection, they would be the best quality tulips that I would have. In short, this was a great gift to myself and if the form and size of these glasses are what you're looking for, then you should buy them, too. We have really hard water here, so I hand wash/dry my glassware instead of using a dishwasher. That way, I don't have serious spots or deposits forming on them. I can't speak to how they hold up in a dishwasher (sorry about that.) ... show more

These coupe glasses are pretty and the perfect size for a variety of cocktails, not too large and not too small … just right! But I took off one star because one of the glasses arrived with a crack at the base, going all the way from the edge to where stem meets the base (see photo). Box was packed with bubble wrap, so I’m thinking it was already broken when placed inside the shipping box. Disappointing, but not worth the hassle of returning all four glasses, so I’ll just keep the three good ones and throw away the damaged one. They were purchased to be spares, anyways. ... show more
