** update: Added two new photos that show this light is full spectrum and support flowering (orchid) and fruiting (strawberries). I have been rehabbing orchid plants, and use this light since my home has poor natural lighting. The orchids pictured have rebounded and are very healthy now! This light has helped provide the majority of the full light spectrum my indoor plants need. I bought it mainly for the strawberry plants I rescued from my backyard and so far it has really helped with new growth. I plan to keep all my strawberry plants indoors now. Excited to see how it fairs in providing for flowering and fruiting some time down the road. It’s very bright (actually makes nice lighting for nearby selfies as well 😜), no dimmer, but that doesn’t bother me. I set it up with an automatic timer. It puts out a fair amount of warmth, but it isn’t hot. The little plants/ seedlings directly under aren’t getting burnt so that’s good. The unit is much smaller than I anticipated for “3x3”. I expected it to measure up that big but turns out that it’s more the coverage it provides. Might buy another one to help supplement more light for my potted plants that will need to come indoors when it freezes. ... show more

So you will read they get to hot because they are fanless. That's not true. Before I got these lights I was using 3 different lights that all had cooling fans. The temperatures have actually been less with the new lights. Plus it's wonderfully quiet. You need fans in your grow area anyways. As long as you have a couple fans you will be fine. Also know what your buying. They do not have a dimmer or power switch. If you want those options then simply upgrade. If your trying to save money then just buy some cheap timers. They are nice and bright. I have a 4×2 grow area and I believe 2 lights would be sufficient even though I put a 3rd light in. I like to make my plants wide is the only reason I did that. I read alot of positive reviews but also some that made me hesitant to buy. After I installed them all those worries disappeared. I wanted to grow quality product but did not and could not afford expensive items. I believe these lights will give me the quality I want and didn't break the bank. I will probably upgrade my next purchase so I have the dimmer but I plan on using these light for a few grows before I do that. If your new to growing I suggest these lights. They are as simple as it comes but are great quality. My plants immediately responded. Follow manufacturers guidelines on height and adjust down slowly as u see fit. ... show more

You can pack several of these into a tent for super cheap!! I only have one big problem with them. They run hot because the driver is mounted to the light panel. I would happily pay an extra $10 if it had a remote driver so they could be mounted outside the tent. Modifying them would void the warranty, but I recommend doing it!! It's pretty shocking the difference in temperature remote drivers can make. These are still my favorite entry level LED on the market. Hopefully they upgrade to the new LM301H diodes soon. These are still the most efficient lights available, though. All 4 I've bought so far draw around 105w each and output ~1200ppfd at 10" If you the price comes to over $70 at checkout it's best to wait. That's about the cheapest I've seen them so far and they hit that point about once a month. It's really not worth it to pay more unless you have to have it immediately. ... show more

I might be overkilling my grow lights, but I put 4 of these in a 3x3 grow tent. They were easy to install as they came with all the items needed. Even some decals. Immediately there was a 10 degree rise in temp. I started investigating and found out the prefilter on my exhaust fan was clogged solid. Removed it, cleaned and dried it. This gets very hot and may be a fire hazard. Don't trust this device if it is left unattended. Purchased in Jan. '24. First used in March to start seedlings. Went to "Get product support". It said, "90-day support for this item." I called Amazon. They said that it was over 30 days since purchase. I told them what it said on "Get product support." Representative was very nice and checked with a supervisor. They arranged for a return of this item, and a refund. Good for you Amazon. I appreciate your great service! ... show more
