Almost flattened two boards with this. Cut really nice for a while, then started cutting odd. Stopped the machine and checked the bit. One of the bottom inserts was completely loose and battering around. Later when taking the inserts out I found the other bottom insert was ready to let go as well. Damage to tool body as well as inserts. The one insert is toast. Don't know if this guy will cut right any more even with new inserts. :shrug: Oh well, seemed to work really well. I wish the insert where tight. Tighten the screws on the inserts. Use some removable Loctite, you really don't want those fellas backing off. ... show more

I wasted $20 over and over buying normal surfacing bits cause I didn’t want to spend $50+ on something that was going to dull like the rest. Not this one! Cuts like a knife through butter compared to the edges on normal bits, stays sharp, runs smooth - no bouncing. Will buy again! Maybe a bigger diameter next time but having great success with this 1” ... show more

Dont bother with this mill. Every single inserts beds poorly and none of the 4 cut on the same plane. If you want a ton of burning and tool marks this is your tool. Look elsewhere for a tool that will work.
