    • Can’t beat a pair of Sperry Ducks
I’ve been wearing Sperry Ducks for years now & they’re my favorite “knock around” boots. They protect my toes well & have a bit of ankle stabilizing ankle support that’ll help keep your foot landing where you want it to. Even tho they’re rubber bottom, they’re not “cheap plasticky” rubber & with that, they grip well on laminate as well as muddy wet grass & keep my feet dry atop all that. I’ve a leg length discrepancy, wide D foot, high arch & wear a tad tiny insert under the inner padding. On that note, pivoting at my heel is crucial & since the heel isn’t wide, it gives more “play” for the type pivots I must use, kinda like walking a tightrope for me sometimes as my balance is off. Another plus is that the inside is well made & removable & goes right back into place smoothly as they’ve an edge that conforms well that extends a bit above the hat most boots have inside. The insole has a crease all around of maybe 1/4inch that secures the insole yet also, without the insole, just puts them at a higher quality of craftsmanship. These will last you for years, even with daily wear, such as working in a greenhouse and getting your feet sopping wet from water leaking into them from the hoses all day. With the removable insole, just pull them out to obtain a quicker dry out timeframe. Right now I’ve 8 Sperry.. no, 9 sets of Sperry Ducks in varying styles. My most recent are the ones with a stacked heel of maybe just under 2”. I refer to them as my “dressy” Sperry Ducks!! I wear them with dresses & legging type pants, “skinny” jeans & have them in 2 different color combinations. I was in need of a pair of boots that could handle some outdoor outings I had planned on a trip. In a matter of three days, these boots were put to the test. I wore them up in the mountains and was able to trudge through mud, walk-through a stream, lightly hike, and be able to quickly wash these off. Even in the freezing cold stream, these boots were warm and comfortable. The second day I wore them on the salt flats, they got dirty and I was able to easily wash them off. The last day I wore them hunting and had to wade through tall grass and mud. I did a lot of walking and these boots really held up. Not only did they keep my feet warm, they’re easy to keep clean. For the price, I couldn’t recommend these enough. They far exceeded my expectations! I did like other reviews suggested and ordered at least one size up and was happy I did. Fully recommend!! One quick note is there is a seam on the boot between the pattern and the rubber that can rub the back of your foot so you may want to put extra padding or wear a thicker sock with it. ... show more

Bought 2 sizes to see which i would want and went with the larger size. I love these duck boots. I will buy a pair every couple years for forever. Waterproof, cute, can handle the elements.

If it were an option, I would give these boots a rating of 3.5 stars. They're not quite a 4-star rating but I'm still glad I purchased them. Positives: I live in coastal North Carolina where it gets chilly in the winter but not really terribly cold for any stretch of time. I like to walk on the beach all year round and wanted a pair of boots that will keep my feet dry and warm if I accidentally get a little too close to the tide line. These will be good for that. They feel lightweight on my feet. The memory foam sole is very comfortable. The fit is good. I sometimes order a half size up in boots so they'll fit with warm socks. I ordered true to size with these and they fit well. Negatives: These are listed as waterproof and I don't think that's really accurate. The rubber sole and toe is decently water resistant but the fabric upper is not at all. So if you were trudging through deep snow or walking in heavy rain I don't think they would keep your feet dry. I also didn't notice when I ordered these that they don't have regular laces, they have short laces that you don't tie. I will probably replace these with boot laces to get a fit that is more snug. Editing to add: I wore these several times over the winter. They are comfortable to walk in but the zipper is rusting so it’s really hard to pull it up and down. ... show more
