I was very happy with the Saltwater Heel Rain boots. I got them at a great price and the coloring is ideal for what I wanted. The heel makes them look a little dressier, but the boots are still very comfortable. Unless you are out in deep snow or extreme cold, I think this boot will wear well from fall thru spring. I normally wear size 7.5 and bought an 8 as 7.5 was not available at the time. The 8 does not feel too big and has room for a thicker sock.

I got a nine as I go between 8.5. -9 but I think my foot is narrow. So that being said they are super cute, soft inside… I haven’t worn in snow or rain yet…. But depending on the foot width…. Might run biggish….

Yes, these are made for narrow feet and/or people who do not carry extra weight. If this does not describe you, then you need to order up a size! I purchased my usual size 9 and they fit well - my toes have plenty of room to be free and spread out in the toe box. I purchased these in 2 colors - this cream/white color and the black color with camel accents. These cream/white ones do indeed have a screw in each heel. This is evident if you lift up the Sperry insole to investigate. The black pair does not have a screw in each heel. These both appear to be "original" Sperry products manufactured in China, with QR code verification in the tongues. Every other pair of Sperrys I own were made in Vietnam, so there may be quality control issues with these ones being made in China. Are these comfortable, thermally lined, and suitable for rain/snow/ice? Yes! Will you be comfortable wearing these "as is" to run errands, go shopping, shovel your driveway, probably yes. Will you be comfortable wearing these "as is" to walk a couple miles to work if you are living in a city, probably not. My solution was adding comfortable inserts. I did not remove the existing insole! If you have problem feet or "tired feet" then you will definitely want to add your own insole. If you plan for this to be your everyday shoe in the fall/winter, then get a second pair so you can alternate. These boots were released in 2021 and are not available on the Sperry website, so whatever you find here on Amazon is likely to be a return or a "try before you buy" item. I don't think this is a big deal. It's like going into Macy's, Belk, or Dillards to buy shoes and getting angry that someone else tried on the shoes before you bought them.

I have never had issues with Sperry shoes. I own these boots in three colors and love each one. Great quality and nice to mix with jeans and sweaters to keep the feet dry and warm.

These are stylish enough to wear to work or out for an evening in rainy weather. Fit true to size. The leather laces are a little difficult to work with, but they can be changed out for other boot laces easily. I recommend them.

These boots are super cute but run super narrow in the toebox and it feels like a rivet rubs the inner top foot. Also, even if the toebox was wider, the boots are very uncomfortable on the heel area after 3 hours. I have tried thick and thin socks and have even tried stretching the toebox out with a blow dryer. Still hurt ... bummer!
