Super cute and comfortable boots. I bought them to take to Ireland and loved them. They are waterproof and didn't take up too much room in my suitcase. Plenty of traction and warmth for walking the Irish landscape and cute enough to eat out and about.

In my quest to look for some foot gear for rainy season in the country I’ll be traveling to, I begin to check my closet to see what I have. I came upon my Sperry’s that I purchased a while ago, & it clicked. Let me see if they have them in another color, & low & behold, they did. I have them, & they did not disappoint once again. So now, I can be comfortable even if it rains all day. The weight is freight, the arch support is supporting, & I’m sure these will provide stability for the rainy season! Bought these Sperry Saltwater boots for my wife and she absolutely loved them. They are made of a very nice leather on the top half of the boot, with a buffalo skin feel, and synthetic rubber on the bottom half with a glued rubber sole. They are laced with the familiar Sperry leather laces. As to the construction: the boots seem to be very durable and my wife has had no complaints of the shoes coming apart or not being waterproof. My wife is hard on her boots and they have held up pretty well so far. As to the comfort and fit: My wife describes the boot as having an exact fit, meaning they do not run big or small but in a size that one would normally wear. That being said, the boots are also very comfortable as well. They do not need "working in" as some other leather shoes or boots, but one would not expect this as they are not made of a high grade leather which is stiff at first. Overall impression: The boots are cute, stylish, comfortable and of fairly good construction. However, I would not subject these boots to extensive amount of water in order to prove their waterproofness. They are only waterproof up to half way up the boot. After that, you're on your own. Overall, though, if you're looking for a stylish boot that can go with most any outfit, you've found a winner! ... show more

I had duck boots when I was in middle school and high school (I’ve never liked wet socks) and I decided to these. I only try and buy waterproof boots for the winter or obviously the rain. They are so cute and I love that they have a side zipper for ease (I didn’t need it but it’s helpful). They are true to size for me and comfortable. The quality is excellent. They are lined so they should be warm. I’m from the North and my previous pairs were worn in the winter. My only issue is with Amazon and how they shipped it. I ordered these (shipped by Zappos) in a 7 and was shipped a 7.5 by a happy accident. I’m usually a 6.5/7 with a foot on the narrow side, but these fit well in a 7.5. I have some toe room and could fit a thicker sock than usual inside which I wasn’t considering when I ordered them. They are unbelievable comfortable. It’s a popular shoe for good reason! I was thrilled to purchase these for $33 rather than the $110 listed, but they are well worth the $56 they are at the moment. (Jan 2023) I’ve only worn these on wet pavement, not in the active rain or in any kind of puddling or snow so I can’t truly speak to the water resistance yet.
