BT’s wife here - I bought these for our two-week Europe tour. It rained for two days in Rome. I was the only one in our tour group who was completely dry! Actually, another girl in our group had the same boots and she loved them too! I even let a friend borrow them because her shoe broke, and she loved them! I usually wear a 6. At first, upon reading reviews, I ordered a 6.5. Even with double socks, they were too big. I tried using inserts, but ended up sending those back and got a 6. They were much better. I didn’t have to double sock or anything. They were a little hard at first, but once they were broken in (thanks to my friend also wearing them!), they were not uncomfortable to walk in all day. They don’t have much cushion, but aren’t uncomfortable (if that makes sense).

I already had the same pair in black, so sizing was easy. But in general these boots run on the big side. I went about a half size down, I normally wear 8 1/2 and went with eight on these, and they feel very comfortable! Still have room for thick socks, or normal socks.. They are easy to slip on and off, I love that they have a zipper. They keep my feet warm, and I will wear them all winter from the time the ground freezes! They are comfortable enough to walk around in. Best of all they look really cute! I bought this pair for a steal, my other pair was double the price! I like the neutral color and I think it will look really cute with jeans! Watch out uggs, there’s a new boot in town!

In NC we mostly get rain in the winter, although temps can get chilly. With the Thinsulate lining, I wear these without socks and found 1/2 size smaller to be perfect. To wear with heavy socks, perhaps going with your normal size might work. Probably more narrow than some, but the side entry zipper makes them so user friendly when just trying to change shoes for that dog walk. Don't want to "lace up" anything! Appreciate the non slip tread without deep grooves that pick up so much mud. As always, "Duck" boots are easy to wash off in the sink should they get too muddy. Bought the "cheapest" color (green) because I didn't care about color. And. It's a pretty nice green!

I was hoping the boot was color blocked. In the photo the boot looked both black on top and blue at bottom. The boot is all blue. That’s okay. No issues with the size. True to size. Overall happy with purchase.

I have trouble buying shoes. Need a wider toe box or have to order a size up. These actually fit comfortably in my regular size. If your feet are narrow they may be large. I dropped a star because while that side zipper would be nice to just slip them on, doesn't work for me
