My son wears these with his school uniform and we have ordered several pairs over the years. They are always just as we expect them - Great quality shoe! They do run a little big. For reference, he wears an 8 in Nike tennis shoe but wears a 7 in these Sperry’s. He wears same tall Nike socks with both. ... show more

I got these shoes for my son's school uniform which needed brown shoes. They are super light, and not clunky! He can walk regular without having to work too hard due to a heavy sole. I'm very happy with this purchase and the shoe feels and looks very sturdy. I would recommend this shoe to parents!

The Lanyard Style has the support I wanted for our grade school girl. We tried other styles from Sperry and since school started in August 2019 until now Feb 2020 we have gone through 3 pairs of Sperry's! This is a very nice classic shoe and my son liked them. I returned the shoes after ordering two different sizes as the fit just wasn't right and went with a different shoe. That of course is the downfall of buying online without being able to try them on. In my opinion, they run somewhat large and wide even for regular sizing. If you are familiar with this brand and its sizing, then you should have not problem and would recommend. ... show more

Sperry's always seem to run wide. Bought for &7Y size but had to buy 6.5M because of width. There was 1" of wiggle room at toes. Wearer has narrow heel base there was still a little gap but made him do a kick test to make sure the shoes didn't come flying off. It passed. I do have to say the last pair I bought was disappointed that the toe was coming away form the sole which has never happened before. This was over a school year. My son has been wearing Sperry's for over a year now, it's all I will buy him for his growing feet. They are comfortable for him to wear all day and provide enough support for his body as he grows. This is now his third pair of the shoes and I am willing to pay the extra money for quality shoes. My dad also wears only Sperry's and has my entire childhood and adult life. they seemed to fit and generated zero complaints, but the front lacing system is too far forward and the angle of the heel pad isn't sufficient to keep the heels from sliding off as your child walks. maybe a differently shaped foot would work?
