Description
Set, review, adjust and save the operating parameters of your Avian and Firma electronic speed controls using the Spektrum Smart ESC Programmer. When connected to a PC using the included USB cable, the programmer will update Smart ESC firmware and can adjust parameters through the Spektrum SmartLink app. You can also use it to check the balance of your LiPo battery cells.

Let you know what the ESC is programmed to., also you can program it to your parameters without having to listen to those annoying beeps to see what category you’re in. Extra convenient if you don't use spektrum radio but need to program ESCs.
If you run a Spektrum Smart ESC with a non-Spektrum transmitter like FrSky, this V2 Programmer box is an absolute lifesaver. It allows you to easily set up critical features like reverse thrust right at the field without needing a Spektrum radio or a computer.The text on the LCD screen is crisp and very easy to navigate using the simple front buttons, even in direct sunlight. Connecting it to the ESC's program port is straightforward, making parameter changes fast and foolproof. It completely removes the guesswork from tuning your power setup and saves a ton of workbench time. Highly recommended for any hangar!

This thing puts You in control of your Spektrum motors!
If you are upgrading to a Spektrum brushless motor, you need to get one of these. The cheaper cards work, but it is sure nice to be able to see what the settings are on the programmer rather than having to refer to a sticker with all the options. Just make sure you save your settings before disconnecting, took me a minute to figure that one out. This thing ensures you get the fullest functionality out of your motor and allows you to dial back the punch and top speed. It runs on the power from your vehicle, so no additional batteries to mess with. I guess it's durable, I haven't had any issues with it, but it is made of plastic.

Will only work on "Smart ESC'S"...
Head's up , only working on Smart ESC'S Only. Didn't work on my BLX ESC'S. Yet easy fast setting. Definitely recommend. I hate depending on beeps & blinking lights for setting up my ESC'S. Buy this

Good tool for advancing capability of 'ones' Spectum RC ESC controlled model
I purchased a used RC boat that has Spectrum electronics. Initially, it did not perform as I expected, yet upon investigating (I.e. googling), I found that the Spectrum ESC has many parameters that are controllable. With this device, I was able to customize settings where the boat performs above my expetation. It is to note that most all such paramaters can be modified w/o device (via combinations of 'button push sequences', yet this tool did help me quickly resolve my (the boats) issue

Worthwhile Endeavor
This does not deserve the hate its getting! The simple fact some aren't getting is that this requires a firmware update to work with newer ESCs, then that same ESC needs a firmware update. Both happen through the same software, and both are required. It's awesome and convenient. You know exactly what values you're getting with no need for a printed card, or the dreadful beeps to program. You need a USB-C data cable (included) to plug in simultaneously while the programmer is plugged in to the ESC. This provides power and data. The software will auto load the firmware updates. It is an easy process if you know what's required to get it working. Is it kinda irritating to have to upgrade the firmware immediately for all functionality? Yes. But once you do it, you can upgrade your Spektrum ESCs to the most recent firmware AND use your computer to change settings if you misplace the smart programmer. If you're having trouble getting this working, check YouTube. I'm by no means technologically advanced, and if I can figure it out in about 30 minutes.. you're selling yourself short. There's some way you can get this stuff to work with a Bluetooth module. That's what I'm working on!

MUST HAVE!!!
This is a MUST HAVE programmer if you own any Arrma 4s-8s Vehicles. It will unlock your power and you will notice a HUGE gain in the power band. The stock ESC settings right out of the box is good, but with this programmer, its a BEAST!!!!
