I should say that I didn’t quite know what to expect with water shoes; I’d never had any before. I was a bit surprised that these were as sturdy as they were, with a fairly thick sole. But these shoes were fine for a walk to the beach on streets and pathways, as well as for walking in the water. And they seemed very useful for walking across loose dry sand to get to the harder-packed beach sand, quite superior to flip-flops for that kind of terrain. Have had other brands during several years of regular kayaking here in FL. My shoe size is right in between 10 1/2 and 11. Went with 11 and fit is both secure and comfortable. Soles are thick enough to afford protection from things you don’t want to step on - hooks, lures, sharp shells, oyster beds - but not at all bulky or stiff. Great overall water shoe. Feels good, holds tight and dries quickly. I ordered 1/2 a size up and it fits well. Only issue is the opening which is tight. It flexes but there is no elastic band to make getting into and out of easy. Requires significant manipulation to get my foot inside and out of even though I ordered slightly larger size. Great if you are planning for an activity where you have concerns about your foot sliding out of but not so great if you are looking for something to get in and out of immediately. ... show more

Great water shoe! I’ve had speedo water shoes before and they are supportive and they last a long time! HOWEVER, this item is listed as a women’s shoe but they are actually sized as a men’s shoe. I wear an 11 in women’s and I ended up buying a 9, hence the men’s sizing. To further support this claim, once I ordered this women’s shoe, in my orders, it showed up as a men’s shoe ... show more

Wore these on the rocky beaches of Oahu, and would NOT have been able to swim without them. Too many dang rocks! They're super cute and comfy. And I just was them out in the shower afterwards and leave them to dry.

Fits fine. Retains water a lot. Must leave outside to dry, does not dry inside even overnight. That's annoying. They also hold a great deal of sand due to the fabric part of the shoe. Needs to be soaked to remove sand every so often. At the same time-- these work well to walk on small rocks, are helpful in preventing injury if there's a rock I can't see and I kick it by mistake. these shoes do not change flotation when swimming. I use them for open water endurance swimming and they work well for that even with the major caveats. ... show more

So much nicer than one and done cheap neoprene versions. This Speedo knitted upper looks nice and wont get pulls or stretched looking. I bought two pair for my husband as he has tender feet and keep one pair in the front pocket of his carry on bag, so he has a pair when we head to Cancun or Cabo.
