  • By Dar, I Really Liked, This Book and I'm Sure Many Of You Will As Well.
This Book is a much older book of sweater sets, and most of them have mittens with the set's. So if you are looking for mittens for your baby you can find them here. This book is for the intermediate crocheters. Some of the sweater sets are clearly outdated, but there are some really cute sets, as well. There are no blankets in the book however, which is really to bad, but you can always find blankets. Yes I definitely would recommend this book 😇 ! ... show more

  • Cute classic baby outfits
A nice grouping of older patterns. But with baby clothes, they can be updated with newer yarns and buttons. Classic styles.

This book is curated and edited, with no credit given to the original designer. This could be seen as copyright infringement, but, in order to know who to ask, it's necessary to know who designed the original, and, that can be an impossible task. Yarn companies published pattern books to sell yarn, and giving credit to the designer was not done. Many of those old publishers are no longer in business, and those who are may not have records. It is for that reason alone, I am not greatly disturbed by the editor not giving due credit, but I would like her to be honest and explain the situation. She is getting many bad reviews, and they cite this fact. That aside, I like the patterns. They're adorable! Not only that, they're not complicated. Last night, I worked up the bonnet in the last set, helpfully titled Crochet Baby Set. The shell lace is given a bit of texture buy working a two row double crochet post stitch between each shell. I used slightly heavier yarn, a DK weight, which is actually a 4-ply, but no longer does the number of plies indicate grist. I also used a larger hook, a US H. That's a 5mm for those who insist upon metrics. Even the scanned copy clearly shows the original has more rows than I worked. I also only worked up to 51 stitches, not 84, and I put each shell in the same stitch, rather than working it over two stitches. I ended up with 12 shells, and 7 rows for me equals the required 4". I like it. Worth my dollar. I will be making more of these patterns. ... show more

  • Hardly any pictures
These are all readdy old patterns that you could probably just find for free on google, and there is only 1 picture of 3-4 different items followed by a lot of written instructions
