I have used Speck cases for years and have always loved them. I like the grip ridges, and that they were slim enough to go in and out of your pocket easily, but rubbery enough to prevent phone damage when dropped. This one for iPhone 16 pro is badly designed. The 16 has 3 camera lenses that project out about 1/8" from the camera. Most cases provide a rubbery frame around these to protect them. The Speck case has a frame that only goes partway around the lens array, making it partway useless. Also, the rubbery quality is gone, so the case is more rigid and I'm doubtful it will offer as much protection in a fall as the old design. Disappointed. Going with a different brand. ... show more

I've had Speck cases since iphone 7 always got them been great, I don't drop the phone much at all but when I did this was very protective so of course for the new one I had to get this one, so far so good

Our family has used the Speck CandyShell since the iPhone 6 because of it's protective features and especially the grippiness. I returned this product after using it for a couple hours. This version is a cheap facsimile of my prior Specks. Instead of having the raised lines made of soft rubber, the raised lines for grippiness are the same material as the rest of the frame. Seems like a cheap and disappointing shortcut. There's nothing to distinguish this case from a bottom-of-the-line $8 case. To top it off, I paid full-price ($40) for this inferior product, because I wanted to make sure my new iPhone was protected. “Grips” are horrible, they’re just a bunch of lines. I can’t see how it would be protective or any less slippery. Also the pictures are deceiving because I don’t like the MagSafe symbol being visible on phone cases so I never would have bought it if I had known it was on this case, it ruins the back of it in my opinion. I love the white/black combo of the case and the materials feel really nice in the hand, but after a few days of use the case developed red markings that could not be removed with soap and water or rubbing alcohol. Knowing it was only a few days old, I didn’t want to know how much more would develop over time. I’ve used Speck Grip cases for a few of my phones, and the quality is solid, like you’d expect from Speck. The case feels sturdy, but the no-slip selling-point isn’t really doing its job with this new indentation design. It’s just as slippery as any case without the ridges. That said, I don’t think it’s bulky—it’s pretty much the same as other Speck cases in that regard. ... show more
