But deep down, I know that's not what you want to do, it it, my love?" ♥𝐆𝐈𝐎𝐕𝐀𝐍𝐍𝐈 𝐆𝐄𝐍𝐎𝐕𝐄𝐒𝐄 + 𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐀 𝐑𝐎𝐌𝐀𝐍𝐎♥ I don't really know how to describe about this book... there were so many amazing individual moments that were very quotable and swoon-worthy. But as a whole I felt like the story did not flow at all, I felt like we would randomly enter a new scene and I would be so confused as to how we got there. I also think the story had such a good pace at the beginning but then right around 70% things really picked up and just went so fast it was a little confusing. For her debut novel, I think Kyra did an amazing job at writing a fun and enticing story. I wanted to keep reading the whole thing and find out what happened next. It has the potential to be such a good book and the start of an amazing series. I just personally felt there were some gaps where it didn't reach a 5 star read for me! I still 10/10 recommend you read this book because it was very enjoyable.

solid 3.8. i wanted to love it so badlyyyy. there were some inconsistencies, i feel like the blood for blood fight was pushed to the side, and that the story was rushed along for the last 30%. i don’t want to spoil it because i think people should read it. i loved giovanni and max and enzo. loved crazy mama. loved the foreign language actually being used. there was good banter. i did like the book but i feel like it could have been so much better if certain encounters, experiences, and side characters weren’t brushed off as much. ALTHOUGH please support the author because this is her first book and authors need room to grow and make mistakes. much love <3

I loved that they go from enemies to lovers but that they always had the chemistry. I would recommend this to anyone who likes romance and books that give you a thrill. It very enjoyable.

The minute I saw the cover of Spades, I was sold! From the title to the synopsis I just knew it would be good. This book is a perfect mafia romance. I couldn’t get enough of how protective Giovanni was of Nina 🫶🏽 Did I mention he handed his card TO HER and told her to GO SHOPPING. No ifs ands or buts!🧎🏽♀️😌 I lived for their banter and how Nina was always pushing his buttons. Every single time this man said “Amore mio” I simply passed away. You will not be disappointed once you pick up this book. Highly recommend 4.5 ⭐️ ♠️
