The material is very good quality and fits nicely on my office daybed/guest bed. It's a solid black color and didn't habe any weird odors like some black fabrics have. I washed it before using and there were no issues. The shams are a nice touch as well. I did not use the bedskirt it came with as the quilt itself is long enough. If you have an extra-thick mattress or a topper, the bedskirt may be needed. (The picture shows some of my existing pillows that did not come with this listing.) ... show more
