Again the picture is misleading and one should always check the dimension. I have made this mistake often on Amazon with perception. Not the seller or products fault but check the dimensions. Smaller than I realized but will still keep for intended use of to display product in a salon. Easy enough to build and looks fine. Packaging was (almost) flawless. The boards were of high quality - sturdy & well made. Instructions were clear and detailed. All items were included with a few spare screws and such. Very easy to assemble & the pieces fit well together. The finished bookcase looked great and well-assembled. The racks are deep enough to fit regular sized files, not just books. And there is plenty of space, given there are 4 racks in total (one enclosed with a door which opens on the left). I'm using this next to a table, and they look good together. There were two areas where the boards had chipped off slightly, but luckily they were hidden from view. ... show more

My daughter opened the box and the back of the bookcase was missing. So I called the company and they asked me (as if I was an idiot) to check the box over and over again to make sure it wasn't there. Like I didn't do that already. They offered to manufacture the part and ship it. I have no idea how long that is going to take. As we continued to try and put the bookcase together without the back (we could do that later), one of the entire sides is missing ALL the holes. I don't know what they were smoking when they inspected the product before it was packaged, but they need to stop. So I called back again. NOW they want me to take pictures. WTF??!! Really??!! So my word isn't good enough that they have crappy stuff and I have to jump through hoops and send emails just to get a complete bookcase to put together. Simply, if I am not satisfied and the parts are defective, just send me what I need to fix it. And of course THEY won't take a return. If I want to do that, I have to go through Amazon. More hoops. But of course what should I have expected paying for particle board. I should have gone to IKEA. The only reason they got one star is because you can't leave it blank. ... show more

    • Decent temporary piece of furniture
What I was actually looking for was a shelf set that had a file drawer on the bottom. Since I couldn't find something like that, I went with this, thinking I could manage with the cabinet (it isn't like I have a giant pile of files, so I figured I would get one of the simple plastic files to keep in the cabinet, along with my printer paper and such). Unfortunately, the cabinet in the bottom is much smaller than the photo makes it seem (to be fair, though, I suppose it is tough to judge scale on the photo...). I don't dislike it, but it isn't going to be useful long-term... which is okay, because I don't think it will last long either - a back corner is already crumbling (I think it got bumped around during shipping). I do think, though, that it works just fine as a simple, cheap piece for some minimal storage. ... show more

I LOVE THIS LITTLE CABINET.. OF COURSE I HAD IT FILLED IN A SHORT TIME.. I AM ONLY 5 FOOT TALL AND IT'S A TINY BIT TALLER THAN ME.. I GET THE CHEAP TALL CABINETS FROM WAL-MART FOR $35 AND REALLY LOVE THEM FOR THE PRICE AND THEY DO THE JOB NICELY. THIS ONE IS REALLY PRICEY FOR THE SIZE AND DOES NOT HOLD THE BIG NOTEBOOKS IT SHOWS IN THE PICTURES AS I WAS HOPING, AT LEAST NOT DOWN IN THE CABINET PART WHERE I WANTED TO HIDE THEM. THE QUALITY OF THE WOOD IS IN THE PRICE OF THIS PIECE. IT IS VERY WELL MADE, EVEN THE BACKING YOU HAMMER DOWN IS A THICKER MORE STURDY PIECE. SO OVERALL I LOVE THIS LITTLE BOOK CASE AND WOULD RECOMMEND IT UNLESS YOU ARE LOOKING FOR SOMETHING TALLER! AND YES IT WOULD MAKE A REALLY COOL NIGHT STAND. ... show more
