  • Stylish, functional, size up though!
LOVE these. I'm only giving 4 stars because the sizing is indeed a bit off and they run small. I'm a solid size 10 in every shoe I own. After reading reviews I ordered a 10.5 and they fit perfectly with an average hanes every day type sock on. They are a bit narrow, but I have an average width foot and they feel fine. I think with huge wool socks on they would be too tight, but these are not trekking through the snowy mountains type boots so that's not an issue for me. I live downtown in a snowy city and these will be perfect for every day city life. For heavy snow, a higher more intense boot would be in order. These are seriously so cute and as comfortable as a pair of sneakers. They are warm as some people stated but clearly that's the point, so a big facepalm to those comments. I wore these outside in the snow and around a 15 degree temp and my feet were dry and toasty warm. The only issue with the appearance is that there is a bit of gaping where the tongue meets the boot near the second ring to lace the boots. It's not very noticeable and the laces pretty much cover it, but it is a bit of a design flaw and I think it goes with the boot being a bit narrow. I showed it in my third pic. All in all these are worth the money and are beautiful. Typical Sorel quality and very stylish for city living. Would absolutely reccomend unless you have a very wide foot, but def size up a half size! ... show more

  • Super light weight boots, but weigh the pros and cons before you buy!
FIT - Fits as expected based on reviews. I’m a size 7 and usually take a 7.5 in hikers and boots. Based on previous reviews I ordered a size 8, which has a little too much room in the toe and heel but accommodates my slightly wide (take a medium width) feet with a mid-weight pair of socks. PRO’s 1)These ONLY WEIGH about 12 ounces (3/4 of a pound) per boot!!!! I have foot problems and walking the dog in regular snow boots - which can weigh 1-1.5 pounds each - can be painful. So A++++ on that front. 2) Warm! I have chronically cold feet and these are toasty. Of course I haven’t worn them in cold weather yet so time will tell. 3) Definately walk like a sneaker, supple, not stiff and clunky like a winter boot. A++++ CONS 1) I didn’t want fake fur so my choice was limited to 2 two ugly colors which stinks - D. 2)With only 6 eyelets you can’t secure these to your feet like a sneaker or normal boot. See the big gaps at the ankle in the photo? So if you you like a snug fit or need ankle support these are a F (FAIL). And no zipper also sucks, just saying. 3)If I keep these I’ll need to buy inserts, the ones they come with are ok but lack support and won’t hold up to the miles of dog-walking I’ll put on them. C. UPDATE 10/7 - I returned these. Tried multiple inserts but couldn’t secure the boot like a sneaker or hiker and have blisters after a 1.2 mike walk. Sorel, get your stuff together! If you made the footbed a little wider your customers wouldn’t have to order up and maybe I could have kept these. Floppy boots just don’t cut it for vigorous dog walking. Purchased a snow sneaker -which actually fits! - instead. ... show more

  • I wanted to love these...
Size: 8.5 Color: Purple Dark Plum
I wanted to like these so bad! I own the Joan of Artic boots but am searching for something more waterproof. They’re adorable right out of the box, love the purple accents. However, I should have heeded other reviews that said the lacing was funny and cause the boot to pop out around the ankle. It just looks weird. I would tolerate it with a cheaper boot, but with this price tag I expect a better aesthetic. The insole that it came with seemed to have plenty padding, but I need orthotics for more arch support. I tried them on with my inserts here at home and they felt great! I did size up 1/2 a size from my normal, but this has been my experience with all Sorel boots so I was prepared. All in all, I would love this boot if it had better placement of the laces, but since it doesn’t they’ll be going back. ... show more

  • Really nice waterproof boots
I was very worried that I would receive these and they would be the wrong size based off of all the reviews. I am normally an 8.5 in shoes, and wear 9 in uggs (because they dont have half sizing). I got these in an 8.5 and they fit perfectly. My feet aren't wide, I'd say they are average and the sizing was spot on. Yes they are narrow right when you put them on but they kind of stretch and mold to your feet as youre walking around. I went on a walk/hike the day I got them and walked around 4 miles and they were comfortable the entire time. Get them!! ... show more

  • Size up! Run very narrow.
I normally wear a size 7-7.5 shoe, 8 in boots. I tried an 8 in these (bought from a diff store) they were SO NARROW! (Even w/ no socks or very thin socks). So I came on here and ordered an 8.5 to see if they would fit better. They are much more comfortable and aren’t too narrow. So I would recommend sizing up .5 from normal boot size or 1.5 from normal shoe size. I haven’t tested the waterproof yet but I have walked through a bit of snow and have no issues. Also my feet were warm in 18 degree MN weather with non wool socks. ... show more

  • Meh
For the price, these boots were a little bit of a let down. I live in Chicago so it’s a good test of winter boot quality as it’s wet, snowy, and frigid for a good portion of the year. Additionally I take public transit exclusively. I will say that these boots seem to be pretty waterproof. I’ve been in a good amount of snow and slush this year and it’s been fine. They are not, however, warm at all. The packaging claims to keep you warm to -25° but my toes were cold at regular 25°. Unfortunately, similar to what was said in other reviews, the boots are quite narrow so there’s no room for thicker socks. Additionally, the sole slopes down significantly where the heel of the boot is so that toes are elevated. It’s bizarre and kind of uncomfortable. Makes it hard to walk and keep balance because that’s not how feet work. I’d buy something different if I could go back in time. ... show more
