I was looking for a comfortable and functional pair of stylish boots and this Sorel bootie delivered all of my needs. We took a short trip to Western MA and the Boston area and walked to many of the sites. The boots were comfortable, initially fit like a glove and felt like it molded to your feet. Getting in and out of it was a bit of a challenge. There were no zippers, only the stretch fabric on each side. The leather tabs on the back helped when putting on the boots, but taking it off can be trying. The boots had great traction, not sure if they're waterproof. I have worn them in light rain and snow and it has kept my feet dry. The boots are well made with durable leather, and seemed to provide enough warmth in 30 deg weather.     • Comfortable and Stylish
These boots are incredibly comfortable. I purchased my usual size and they fit perfectly. After a few days of near constant wear, they are beginning to break in and loosen ever so slightly. Overtime, I imagine they will loosen up even more. I chose these boots because they are stylish, comfortable, and waterproof. I live in the Pacific NW, and in my work I'm on my feet constantly as well as in and out of the elements.     • great for travel
I purchased these boots for everyday wear but recently took them on a business trip to China. I needed something that looked good enough for business meetings but were practical (and comfortable) for tours of manufacturing facilities, I also was not checking a bag on the plane, so needed something that was easy to wear for travel. These boots did not disappoint! I took another pair of shoes in case these didn't work out, but never pulled the other pair out of my bag. I have high arches and often suffer from foot pain but had no discomfort with these boots. I wear a size 8 in Sorel as well as most other brands and that was the right size for this style too. They were a bit snug across the toes when I first tried them on, but stretched quickly just with a little wear around the house. So far I've worn these boots with black dress pants, skinny jeans, and boot cut jeans so they are a good add to my shoe collection. ... show more

These are the third pair of Chelsea style boots I have purchased this year and finally I find something that feels amazing. I started with Thursday boots for $160 and I just couldn’t feel the love. My heel lifted up with each step, and the sole felt hard and unforgiving. The craftsmanship of Thursday boots is amazing but I couldn’t keep at that price so I sold on eBay and took a loss. Then I bought llbean Chelsea boots and loved the. For a minute, until my back pain kicked in towards the ends of days on my feet. My heel also constantly lifted up in these even though I bought inserts. A smaller size wouldn’t have worked. Finally I bought sorel Harlow and they are like an expensive leather glove supporting and cushioning my feet with each step, I live in Maine and do recess duty in 8 degree afternoons on the playground and they aren’t the warmest, but they definitely are waterproof. They are cushioned with each step and feel extremely supportive . I love shoes I forget I have on, and the others pairs I had tried this season were always reminding me they were there. And not in a good way. These sorel boots, quietly do their job throughout the day, until I remember they are there and look down and see a pair of super attractive boots that and perfect for me. ... show more

    • Very comfortable!
Got this boot to wear in spring for walking dog in rain and on wet messy roads. Put them on and took the dog out and they fit me exactly so a true 8.5. Have to pull them on and I wore a black sock that's not too thick and they come off easily. Wouldn't wear a thick sock so maybe then you would need a size up. Not for cold winter weather, but perfect with the 30's and 40's temps. Love them and they are really well made. Look like leather but are not so I didn't waterproof them with a spray. With the Sorel brand I expect them to last quite a long time. They really are well made. ... show more

    • Love them, with a couple of caveats
As a whole, I love these boots. The footbed is really comfortable. I normally wear a 10 in Sorel boots and opted to size up to a 10.5 in these, since a couple of my other Sorel styles can feel pretty tight depending on what socks I'm wearing. I'm definitely glad I sized up, and I think that contributes to the comfort. I can't really attest to their water resistance since I haven't worn them in rainy weather, but based on the material, it seems like they'd do a good job. They look great under bootcut jeans or as a classic chelsea look paired with skinny jeans. My only true gripe is how difficult they are to get on. I've found the elastic doesn't stretch all that far, especially for someone with bigger feet. And then when I do manage to get my foot inside, my sock is all messed up and wrinkled and it's really uncomfortable (though it does usually straighten itself out after a few minutes of walking around). I've ended up using a shoe horn to put them on (which is probably a good idea anyway just to prevent damage to the back of the boots) and that's definitely been helpful. ... show more

I was so excited to get these boots because of the great things I heard but the first day I wore them the little loop on the heel tore as I was putting them on. I also noticed that the insoles are glued in crooked and the dye turned my socks orange. Although they are super comfy, I will be returning them. ... show more
