Leaving a review because shopping for boots online stresses me out and the reviews here helped me. Nice boots to travel in winter Canadian cities. You might need snow boots or lining depends on where you go, but this is nice for exploring cities near zero Celsius with light rain, flurry, snow outside and heaters indoor. Pretty versatile. Feet not wet nor frozen outdoor, and not drench in sweat indoor. The insoles are not cloud-soft and they don’t hug you, but comfortable for boots and no need of break in. Good traction but don’t run on ice of course. I wore 8-8.5 usually. Ordered 8.5 to account for socks and fit perfectly. Hope this helps.

I wear them almost every day in the fall/winter. They look nice, go with most everything in my wardrobe and are waterproof for snowy days. I highly recommend Sorels as a brand, not just these boots.

Super cute, stylish and functional. Go 1/2 a size up if you want to wear thick socks with. I took them out of the box and wore them on a 2 mile walk downtown in 85 temp. They didn't make my feet too hot at all. Usually you sacrifice ventilation with waterproof shoes. No discomfort at all. Highly recommend!

I had to return these more than once to find the right size. I normally wear a 7.5, but sometimes will go up a half size to accommodate bigger socks for the winter (I love cozy socks). The 8's were WAY too big for me, so I sized down to 7.5, and even with thick socks and extra insoles they felt really loose. So I returned for a 7 and now they feel too tight. It seems like the sizing is off! My feet hurt when I wear them, they are not comfy at all. Not sure if I can return them again, but not too happy with the purchase, especially for the price!

These are so cute and so comfortable and they do feel like really nice quality. I love these, but unfortunately they do NOT hold up well. This is after less than 2 weeks of wear :( and it’s not like I was hiking in these or wearing them in extreme conditions. Just regular every day wear in the Midwest. They are warm and cute and look really nice, unfortunately they just do not last. They are literally falling apart after a few weeks, which I expected better quality for paying so much and then being sorrel..

I was replacing a pair that were my favorite ankle boots. They fit me beautifully and they were so comfortable. when I got the new ones I ordered online they didn’t fit at all. They were cut completely different, felt terrible on, hurt my ankles, material was stiffer and they were made in a different country than the original ones I bought. I was so sad.

I love Sorel and have been looking for a new boot in black for a long time and this boot is the one! I have long, narrow feet and skinny ankles so finding a boot to fit and still be cute can be tricky. The emelie III is narrow enough that I can wear it with normal thickness socks and still walk around comfortable. I will note that a half size up would have been ideal but that resulted in the heel slipping and for that reason I gave it 4 stars otherwise it would have easily received 5. Even with the smaller size,I can still wear it all day and not experience any discomfort. I ordered these boots in the black which is the waterproof leather and closer to a suede finish than the shiny leather you sometimes see which I prefer. They are soft and durable. The zipper is sturdy but not clunky or chunky. The toe is a rounded shape and does not squish. The shaft falls slightly above the ankle bone and pairs well with skinny jeans. I would recommend these!
