I trust the Sorel brand for waterproof performance. This is a good looking suede Chukka boot. Color and fit were exactly as expected. I'm sure that the higher end boot makers offer better Chukkas, but they start at $150 and up. At under $100, the Sorel is hard to beat.

    • Decent Boot for Price Paid
I got this boot in the color "Major". I paid right at $100. For that price I give it 4 stars. They are nice looking and appear well made. They are fairly light. They run a tiny bit big for my foot but not enough to go up a size. The sole has a lot of cushion and is comfortable. The insert is okay but nothing stellar. I have not gone on any long walks yet but have worn them several days to work and they did not rub my feet at all. However, the suede these boots are made of feels cheap. It is not supple and is rather hard feeling. I don't know if that is just with the color "Major" or if it is true of everything in this line of boot. For $100 I think they are fine and I will keep them and likely enjoy them for casual and wet weather use. But if I had paid the suggested retail price of $189 and the leather felt the way these do I would have sent them back without trying them on. I think this is a good $100-120 boot. But not good enough for $190. ... show more

Love the look of these boots! They fit great and don’t leak like the Timberlands I tried. I’m a size 12.5 and I got a 13 (I know this helps because I looked in the comments about sizing). I have 4 pairs of these boots, different colors of course, and they’re worth every penny. When something is great you have to buy a few… and these are great!! ... show more

Looks really good and waterproof. Very comfortable too, i took these on a trip and did a lot of walking, no break in required. These did run small around the toes so I got a half size larger (normally size 11.5 but fit 12 in these).
