Bought these for a trip we are going on in a month to Iceland. With warm socks, these are great! I’ve worn them outside for hours at a time with normal socks on and my toes stay warm for like an hour and then start getting a little cold. With the right socks, they’re fine. They are water proof, lace up nicely, and keep snow/water out of the inside. I wear a size 11 Nike. I ordered these in a 10.5 and they fit good. A tiny bit of room for some thick socks. ****UPDATE***** The next morning I put these on and again I had a little discomfort in the size.. I couldn’t tell if it was just me or if they were too small, I since got a half size larger, 10.5 US. My normal size. Like the way they feel. Will be returning the size 10. Still really like the boots. I think wear the disconect on sizing is is that the boots are wide, which for me is great, but for people with narrower feet they may seem a size too big.. I will leave the original post as is. See below **** My footwear sizing for reference: - Nike tennis shoes 10.5 US - KEEN steel toe work boots 10.5 US - Ariat square toe boots 10.5 US These Boots: -Sorel Men’s 1964 Snow boots 10 US At first they felt to small with just below the ankle athletic socks but wearing them and walking in them for 20-30mins helped break them in a bit. With the bottom portion being the rubber they relax more once the rubber gets to flexing a bit. I then put on thinker/warmer socks and they felt perfect. Very comfortable and very warm. The soles have good tracking and grip Fur is not all through out the interior of boot, just and the top portion that you can see. Really like them so far (2 hours). ... show more

Overall, I would say these boots are a good buy. I have wide feet, EEEE width, so it's difficult to find quality waterproof winter boots that are also warm. These boots are definitely waterproof and good quality. The reason I'm only giving four stars rather than five are for two reasons: tight fit and lack of warmth. I have big calves in addition to wide feet, so the middle portion of the boots are tight as well in the feet. My feet later got used to the tight fit, so the boots fit fairly comfortably, but I would have liked it if they were a true EEEE width, rather than just "wide boots." Finally, even though my feet stay dry, the boots don't keep them completely warm. I live in Rochester, NY, so my feet can get somewhat cold in temperatures of 20 degrees or less. I would recommend wearing warm socks with these boots, which helps in extreme cold. On the positive side, these boots are lightweight, durable, waterproof, and they look good. I don't have to worry about snow soaking through these boots like I have with previous ones I've owned. Overall, I'd say these are good quality boots to keep your feet dry in the snow. ... show more

I've never owned a pair of really warm, quality boots. But after last winter (I live in Minneapolis), I decided to bite the bullet and get something that would keep me warm while walking the dogs, snow blowing, going to football games, etc. I always knew Sorel was the best, but they were expensive. I had a feeling if I spent the money on these, I'd have them for years and years. I'm totally satisfied. They're warm and comfortable. They have good traction. They have a vintage look. They don't slip off my feet as I walk. I'm normally a size 12, but I ordered a 13 because I figured I might wear them with really thick socks and they fit well with thick, or normal socks. Totally satisfied. Update - I gave these boots their first introduction to cold and snow. I wore them to a college football game (GO GOPHERS!). It was about 15 degrees, windy and snowy. I wore a pair of heavy smartwool socks. We sat outside for about 3-4 hours. I was totally pleased. I would say on a scale of 1-10 (1 being my feet were totally warm and comfortable, and 10 being my toes turned black and fell off), these never got worse than a 2.
