  • Expensive but works Expensive but works
I have Apple M1 Pro which is only capable of supporting two external monitors. Even though the MacBook has three Thunderbolt 4 ports the OS limit it to two external displays Max. You can take all three of your monitors and connect to all three Thunderbolt 4 ports and you will see only two of them works. The M1 it's not fully Thunderbolt compliant because it does not support external GPU enclosure. When I first bought this product I thought this was too good to be true. When I received this product the first thing I did was go to the website and download the driver in PKG file format for Mac. After installing the drivers I gave permission to the application. Plugged in two of my monitors to this adapter and then the third monitor via HDMI port in on the laptop and it worked. I was very surprised that all three of my monitors were doing 4K at 60 FPS. Then I played around with it a little more and found out that if you don't want 4K resolution then you can switch to 1080p. You cannot switch to any other resolution in between like 2K or 3K. Then playing around some more I came accross Display Link Manager (driver software that you install) where you can enable 2K and 3K resolution at the cost of 4K resolution. I enabled that feature and it worked. Now all of my three monitors are in 3K resolution at 60 FPS. If I kept the Intel MacBook Pro then I wouldn't have this kind of an issue. Because Intel MacBook can support up to four monitors via four Thunderbolt 3 ports ... show more

  • Works as advertised - ZERO issues.
This thing is awesome. Works as advertised - zero issues. I know someone that bought one that was like twice as much but is so flakey he had to return it.

  • Worked great until the MacOS upgrade to Sequoia 15 and customer service has been unable to resolve
I was really happy with the functionality of this adapter and it worked great for a few months until the MacOS upgrade to Sequoia 15 but it has not worked at all since then. I contacted Sonnet support and they worked with me at first, then went silent for weeks and finally responded again after numerous attempts on my part to contact them. But as of now, they have been unable to resolve the issue. I contacted DisplayLink support and they suggested purchasing a different adapter. They provided me a list of adapters they recommend to choose from, and so far the new adapter I purchased is working fine. ... show more

  • Works as advertised
I was skeptical that it would display correctly -- but it does! What could be better: => USB "C" rather than a converter => Install guide and the website don't sync up. Need pictures of current screens.

  • Never worked
We've owned this gadget for over a year and tried it on multiple MacbookPro M2 macs and never been able to get it to work. I've been in tech/hardware support for 3 decades. This was a waste of money.

  • Not for Dual Displays on the M1 Mac Mini. Returning
I followed the instructions for using DisplayLink to run dual 4k displays on my M1 Mac Mini, but was not successful. I plugged everything in and only got black screens. I opened a case with SonnetTech, but they could not help me. I can plug one display into the HDMI port, and the other into a thunderbolt port, which works. I was trying to fix some unreliable behavior I was seeing upon display wake where all of my open apps would gather to my primary display. The StarTech unit does work, but it had some lag issues. ... show more
