Wow! When I bought this I was expecting something that would collapse under a little bit of weight. After a full month of use, I'm blown away by how sturdy and useful this thing is. My room had no closet, so I decided to get a stand alone wardrobe. This thing took about an hour to assemble, and while it could be a bit tricky at times if you follow the instructions you'll be fine. Make sure to measure the space you'll be putting this in, as it does take up a decent amount of space. The good: Strength: I've got about 15 dress shirts, 20 t shirts, 5 pairs of pants, 5 pairs of shorts, and a few sweaters in this thing. I also have some duffel bags resting on the top of this wardrobe. It has not shown any signs of collapsing or folding under this weight. Very impressive. Style: It's not the sexiest thing in the world but it will get the job done. Black is a clean color that I think looks better than those awful beige wardrobes. The not so good: Flaps: The flaps being zippers is sort of annoying. I usually just fold up the straps for daily use and leave them there. Zippering them shut then back open is a lot of work to grab a shirt, and leaving them down but un-zippered just looks sloppy. If I could make one change, I'd have the flaps be held down with a few pieces of velcro for quick access and closing. Verdict: if you are looking for a standalone wardrobe under $50 that can hold all your clothes, this is the purchase for you.

I absolutely love this portable closet it has so much space I was able to put my purses on those middle shelves sent some boxes in the very bottom which really help to stabilize it and then I have my dresses on my long wear items in there it is a great day for the money the stability the weight is putting together it just takes time cuz it's so many raw but it's easy to put

I'm pleasantly surprised by how well this works for me. I moved into a house where we're using a den as a third bedroom, and it has no closet. Being on a very tight budget, but needing a considerable amount of clothes storage space, I had few options. I thought I'd try this as a temporary solution, thinking it couldn't be very strong, considering the materials and low price. I was wrong. It's extremely sturdy, as well as versatile. It took me about an hour to put together. There are a lot of parts, but once you've assembled the first level, you'll quickly get the hang of it. The only real complaint I have is the depth. It could use a couple more inches. The fabric back will bulge out a bit once clothes are hanging inside. Also, the ties used to secure the cover to the bottom corners of the unit are not adequate. Because there's not enough depth, the ties are strained. They ripped right off when I tried to lash them to the unit. Fortunately, they aren't necessary to keep the cover in place. You may find that you have to keep the front panels rolled up for the unit to not look misshapen. I don't mind the look of open clothes storage, but if you tend to be messy, this might not be an attractive option.

Besides storing clothes, this 6-foot high, 5-foot long, and 18-inch wide unit can double as effective and affordable room divider. The lightweight materials diminish the tipping hazards – no need to bolt to a wall – and the black non-woven fabric blocks light. When filled with clothes, it blocks sound, too. We bought two units, and positioned them to convert a loft-like space into a temporary bedroom (see pix.) The six generously spaced shelves (nine if you count the floor), hold lots of clothes and linens. The two movable hanging clothes bars are sufficient for lightweight shirts, but I wouldn’t tax them with heavy coats or pants nor should you overload them. The metal clasp that attaches to the shelf bar is pliable and will sag depending on the weight. Common sense should rule your storing/hanging decisions. On price, size, convenience, and versatility this is an excellent purchase. One unit arrived in great condition. The cover to the second unit arrived smelling like a musty old camper. The non-woven fabric can't be washed and repeated airings were ineffective. SONGMICS customer service responded instantly to my complaint, shipping me a new cover without requiring the return of the smelly one. This is a budget-friendly product that comes with first-class service. Highly recommend this portable clothes closet by SONGMICS.

This is a great, stable, and cheap alternative for a closet! It was very simple to assemble, all of the pieces were included (none missing) and well-labeled. Everything fit together perfectly, and it was light enough to move by myself even after full assembly. All in all, this is a great closet organizer for people who move often or just need a cheap option!

First thing's first, the canvas cover to the wardrobe arrived with a large tear in the back panel. The canvas itself is very thin and likely won't stand up to much in the way of wear and tear. The other fabric pieces, the shelf platforms that attach to the frame, are quite flimsy and very thin. They work for very lightweight objects, but I wouldn't trust putting more than 20 to 30 pounds of weight on a single shelf. Pressing with moderate strength on them with your fingers leaves a lasting indent in the surface, to give you an idea of how easily a heavy weight could ruin them. The structure itself is sturdy enough for what it is. The metal poles that make up the frame seem able to hold weight up well enough, and the plastic connectors are decently sturdy, although it all has a bit of wobble to it, which was to be expected considering no screws are involved. There's likely better options out there for the same amount, if not less money. The frame is half-decent if a little wobbly, the fabric parts suck, and the product might arrive damaged! Search elsewhere unless you absolutely need a wardrobe you can pack up and move elsewhere at a moments' notice, ease of assembly is just about the only real upside.
