Dang!—this thing holds a lot! My old jewelry box/cabinet was busting at the seams so I decided to upgrade to this one. It was packaged well and arrived in great shape with all of its bits and bobs (including a nifty little paper guide for marking where to drill into the wall—such a simple thing, but it makes life so much easier!!—wish all manufacturers of hanging things did this!!). The lights worked just fine (even with Duracell batteries—which I guess was a problem some reviewers had?). I mounted this to a wall, not a door—and I did follow the advice of another reviewer and put two screws through the back of the cabinet (behind the drawers) and into the wall just for some extra support. I now feel totally confident that this thing isn’t coming off the wall without permission. I knocked off one star for two reasons… The first is that I had to get creative to get some of my pieces to work in this cabinet. Hoop earrings, for example. I had to use up some of the hooks I’d wanted to use for necklaces for hoop earrings because they just would not work on the earring rack. Also, big cuff or bangle bracelets were awkward on the bracelet holder and I ended up using a lot of my shelf space for those. But maybe this is just a “me” problem and I have exceptionally weird jewelry?? The other reason I docked a star is because I feel like I’m going to want/have to add a little knob or handle to open this cabinet. The magnet is STRONG—which is great and I’m not complaining. But the little groove or whatever you want to call it that serves as the spot to grab to open the door seems to be too far below the magnet. I’ll be in and out of this cabinet almost every day, and it kind of feels like over time the torquing on the door might not be ideal. So I think I’ll be putting a little knob or handle closer to where the magnet is located so the door opens more evenly when I pull on it. Overall though, I am happy. I was elated when I opened the box and pulled out my jewelry box. OMG.. It is beautiful. Very well made. Has a light that will turn off and on inside.. I was shocked at how well made and laid out it was. It was a birthday gift from the hubs. Has full length mirror on the front.. This jewelry box comes with a key to lock it. It is not just for jewelry and or woman. Men could definately use it as well. It hangs on the wall and or comes with brackets if you prefer over the door. I bought this jewelry cabinet in white. The mirror is an actual good mirror and it had cellophane protection. It was packed well and arrived within two days off ordering on Amazon! 3 keys are provided. Plenty of earring slots and holes for studs. I bought a 10-16" spring rod and offset fitted it into the right side for more bracelets. Three AAA batteries in the top compartment and plenty of bright light when the door is opened. My husband screwed two L shaped brackets under the cabinet against the wall to give it extra support. It works for me! ... show more

Wife likes it well enough for its purpose and price point. Some things to be aware of include the door only opens to about 90-100 degrees. It’s a right to left open door vs the left to right in the Amazon picture. And if you mount the cabinet to a wall and don’t want it to fall off under its own weight then toss the ridiculously tiny dry wall anchors included with it into the trash, and buy a couple of good 50# rated drywall anchors (or lags if you are super cautious) and use those instead. I had a wall stud in the right location so drilled through into it and used a #12 x 1 1/2” pan head Phillips sheet metal screw for the hinge side mount (no, you do not have to use a ‘wood screw’) and a 50# rated drywall plastic expansion anchor for the other mount with a pan head screw. The semi-rounded pan head makes it easier to fit into the hangers on back of the cabinet. ... show more

I love but this story box makes finding my specific items much more simple. For the earrings so that I didn't run out of space on one's that I could I doubled up on each slot. For studs I put them in a space not on the door. The necklace organization is perfect and everything looks so much better

Wow! I don’t write many 5 star reviews but this deserves it. Functionality: I thought I had a LOT of jewelry but I still didn’t fill it. It holds so much. I used some of the ring slots for vintage brooch pins. I looked at several designs and chose this one because it DIDN’T have a mirror INSIDE like others. I feel that is a waste of space because you have the big mirror on the entire front. The drawer depth was shallower than I anticipated but it’s fine for tiny pieces you can hang and might get lost such as extra earring backs. Mounting : first I hung this on our bedroom door using the hangers provided. They attach with two screws each and seemed secure, however our door didn’t quite have enough clearance and it rubbed. You could close the door but it was difficult. The hooks are not thick though, < 1/8”, so it must be our door. I ended up hanging it in the closet which I like much better. One caveat…I put the screws into the hard melamine shelf material of our closet organizer. Due to the weight I’m not sure if I would trust the drywall anchors they provide. I’d definitely try to find a stud to help support some of the weight. Price and finish: I chose the green distressed finish simply because it had an extra coupon and was the least expensive color. It’s nice but wouldn’t be my first choice if I were hanging it where it would be “On display”. Extra features: the lights come on and off automatically when you open it. They require 3 AAA batteries not included which install easily on the top. 2 keys are included which is a plus. ... show more
