My wife has a TON of jewelry. Everywhere I turn there are earrings, rings, necklaces, etc. scattered throughout every room of the house. To make matters worse, she has about 5 jewelry boxes of various sizes, shapes, and portability. Despite all this, I still find random jewelry on the nightstand, on the bathroom counter, coffee tables, dressers, etc. This leads to questions of, "Have you seen this pair of earrings?" And annoyance on both our parts, when I reply with, "No did you check any of the 10 places you randomly could have left it?" Hence, my purchase of this jewelry standing cabinet. In addition for me looking for a be-all and end-all jewelry storage solution for my wife, my wife has been on the look-out for a full length mirror to add to the bedroom/closet area. When I was presented with the idea of this product, it seemed like a no-brainer! Allow me to tell you what I like and dislike about this product. For starters, the presentation out of the box was top notch. In addition to coming in a box from Amazon, this cabinet also came in a teal/blue box with a handle on it. This made moving it to the desired position before assembly, essentially effortless. Open the box and you two thick pieces of custom cut Styrofoam keeping all the pieces and mirror in place. The mirror is also carefully wrapped up in shrink-wrap to prevent shifting and breaking. Opening the cabinet part up is where you find the assembly instructions. These are placed in a wax-sealed envelope to convey the message of luxury and quality. Assembly of this product is pretty straight forward. You have two legs, two support beams, the cabinet, and then a handful of dowels, and some bolts. You need no additional tools, glue, or materials, and it can be assembled with just the provided hex key. It can be assembled relatively easy with one person but having an extra set of hands to hold the legs steady while tightening or mounting the cabinet definitely speeds up the process. The finished product when complete is a practical, elegant, and beautiful solution. It also has a set of keys, with locking function, but not sure I have a need for that, except maybe to keep kids out? I had a few minor quibbles with this purchase. For starters, there was some white powder on the felt when I opened the cabinet. I assume it was a busted silica pack, and it wiped up fairly easily. Secondly, there is a mesh storage bag that attaches with Velcro to the inside of the cabinet. The bag was very rolled up, so I'm not sure how long it will take to unfold, nor am I sure my wife would even use it for on-the-go travel needs. My wife is crafty, so I told her she could re-purpose the area and make a place for stud earrings (or something else) if she wanted to. Lastly, the LED lighting is battery powered (6 AA batteries). I'm not sure if I would have preferred no lighting, cord (not a great option), or what. However, I use rechargeable batteries, so I will see how long it takes before I have to change the batteries in it. The small complaints aside, I was very pleased with the purchase of this cabinet. I went with Espresso colored one, opposed to the white one and it really looks premium once it's all assembled. My wife has started loading it up, consolidating her jewelry collection, and using this as opposed to the random tables scattered throughout the house. Hopefully, this trend continues. :) If you are looking for a gift for that special woman in your life, I highly recommend this piece of furniture. I don't know how we survived without it. The wife bought this cabinet and I helped her put it together. Well for one it was shipped to Hawaii and arrived in perfect condition. Packaging is awesome. A box inside a box. The cabinet itself is really nice. Really well built. Just have to put the legs on. And put in six batteries for the light inside. Super bright. Will hold more jewelry than my wife will ever have. I honestly can’t say enough about this product. Not often am I impressed on products like this. But I am very much so. We just put it together an hour ago and I am already writing a review. If you are hesitant. Don’t be. This is really nice. Super easy to put together. The sealed card inside is a super nice touch. Who seals envelopes with wax anymore. Nice touch!! ... show more

I love everything about this piece of fine furniture. It came shipped well packaged and is just perfect. The storage is great and I’m so excited to have everything in one place. The lighted mirror does take 6AA batteries and I’m hoping I don’t have to replace often, even when light is left on it goes out when door is closed. I’m planning to take out mesh bag and replace with more hooks for necklaces. Overall it’s worth the $ in my opinion and a 5 star quality piece. ... show more

I love this mirror for the mirror quality, the storage, the interior lighting, the ability to lock it, and its overall appearance. The one thing that bothers me is that the door swings open like its hinges are very strong and the base that is holding the mirror up isn't enough for the weight of the mirror. I don't think it will give out anytime soon, it is also something that I may be able to diy fix. I have already put some grip dots underneath the base so it doesn't rock so much. ... show more

I’m updating my review. After many months of use I’m so amazed at the the time I’m saving with this fabulous cabinet. I can’t believe I didn’t discover this sooner in life. No more searching through jewelry boxes, necklaces hanging, bracelets in another place, when I’m trying to get ready and put an outfit together. Everything is easy to find in ONE PLACE! It also makes putting jewelry away as easy as it does to find it. It’s very well made and easy to put together. The light inside is very helpful, as well as the moveable mirror. This mirror is perfect! I’ve been shopping stores for a full length mirror that wasn’t an eyesore, that was made of quality wood, and could be adjusted. I hadn’t planned on buying one with a built in jewelry organizer, because I didn’t know they existed. I stumbled across this on Amazon and I am in love. I have a large wooden jewelry vanity I bought years ago from Pier One, and it takes up so much room. I’m moving all my jewelry out of the vanity and into this. It has a lock and key, and a light inside. From the outside, you would just assume it’s a standing mirror, which I like. It was easy to assemble in less than 15 minutes. No issues, everything was included in the directions were clear. It’s also worth noting and that the glass was in perfect condition. The packaging in the box was really exceptional to protect the wood and the glass. The tilt on this mirror can be adjusted with two included wooden pegs that you move up or down or remove to pivot the mirror. We have a toddler, and she loves walking up to this mirror putting her hands on it (which means her weight) and it never moves, pivots, or wobbles. It is solid and sturdy.
