I wanted something to organize and store things in our townhouse that lacks closets and cabinets. Was a little confused about how to put it together but figured it out. I’m glad my husband was there to help me or it would have taken longer. Overall I am happy with it, it’s a lot smaller than I thought it would be even after using the view in your room and reading the measurements. It’s nice.

The boxes of files in our office have slowly been piling up, so I needed something to help keep me organized. I liked that this was an attractive looking unit (compared to others) and has a capacity of 110 pounds per shelf. Unfortunately, the third piece I removed from the box was broken in the middle. Not a great start. This was one of the side support pieces. I decided to zip tie it together until I could get a replacement. Since this was one of the bottom pieces, I have to imagine it would jeopardize the integrity of the structure if not replaced. I also found many of the metal pieces to be warped in areas, particularly at the ends where you had to slide them into another piece. I had a little trouble pushing them into place, but they eventually did. I do think this would've been easier with a second person since you have to press down on two buttons as you push the two pieces into place for each shelf. One of the side cross pieces kept popping out of place, although it didn't seem to matter as much once it was fully assembled. I tried calling customer service but forgot it was a holiday, so I emailed them requesting they send me replacement piece. I finished the assembly anyway. The zip tie kept it fairly secure for the time being. Fortunately, it shouldn't require much to replace that piece if/when it arrives. I'm not anchoring it to the wall. I may do it after I replace the broken piece, but I'm not sure yet. We don't have young children and I'm planning to stack heavier items on the bottom and lighter ones on top. It definitely doesn't appear sturdy enough to hold 110 pounds per shelf, although I don't plan to test that limit. it does seem a tad wobbly, but perhaps would be more sturdy on hardwood vs. carpet. Update: I received a response from customer service two days after emailing them, which wasn't bad considering one of those days was a holiday. I was informed they had a spare part and I should receive the package in 3-5 business days. They mailed it out the following day, and I received it two days later. I was pleased with the quick response. Even after replacing the broken piece, I still wouldn't trust the full weight capacity stated in the description. The unit ended up being ideal for what I needed it for and I am happy with it overall. The quick and efficient response from customer service was definitely reassuring and ultimately helped nudge my rating to four stars. ... show more

My husband put this together and it took him about 35 minutes. The entire time he was unhappy with the complexity of assembly and just generally unhappy with the shelf. I got it to hold food in our pantry and I think it’s sturdy enough for that but it doesn’t seem like it will hold the weight stated in the listing ... show more
