The instruction manual for the laches on mine was wrong how to change the combination. I think the old units has a secret switch on the back, but they changed the latches. Mine I had to push the open button the opposite direction and hold it while spinning the dials to a new combination. I was disappointed that this didn't include a USB charging connector. I thought it was going to have a cable to inside where I could plug in my own USB battery pack. Instead it has an oval slot that only fits some USB battery packs. I found one that fits but it's small and doesn't charge my phone very fast. Some other reviews mentioned the "badge" on the front has sharp metal that pokes through the plastic and can cut the interior liner. I unzipped the liner and put a few layers of duct tape over the badge to prevent problems.

I needed a carry on that was within airline parameters for both domestic & international flights. My husband who is a 3.5 million mile road warrior swears by latched vs zippered bags. I like the look, the color (rose gold), the smoothness of the rolling wheels & the 3 handle height adjustments. It came with a dust cover, a removable insert w/3 zippered pockets, a cross tie-down strap on 1 side and a full zippered side on the other with add’l zippered pockets. The 2 TSA friendly locks/latches are easy to reset with your own numbers, just open the latches, hold the release button and change the numbers to yours, then release the button, done. There aren’t any instructions for this, nor an explanation for the slot under the telescoping handle. That slot is for a battery charger, though mine is a tad thick & will get stuck so I glued string around the outer edge of my battery so I can pull it out (MacGyver, anyone?) it actually works really well but won’t allow the slot cover to close completely but I don’t care as I pull my battery out during the flight to keep it close & you can’t check a battery bag anyway. The latches are plastic on the outside but inside they’re metal, they “seem” sturdy, time will tell. The hinges that hold the 2 sides together are substantial but as another reviewer stated, if they get dented it could potentially prohibit opening. Another viewer also mentioned the front emblem attachment eventually poking through the inside lining, yep it does & it’s a bit sharp. I cut a 2 inch piece of foam (part of the corner protection used in the shipping box as packing cushioning) double-sided taped it (pic#5) & placed it over the offending sharp edge underneath the inside lining, just in case, another MacGyver fix! The bag is EXTREMELY lightweight, lying it down flat when empty it will flex when pushed on but seems strong enough & when full, I think it will hold up. Aluminum frame & corners, mine arrived with one slightly dented corner. This bag came with a 5 year warranty, most others are 1-3 years.

I love the black color. It’s closer to gunmetal but still beautiful! Seems like it’s great quality. I’ve taken it on one trip so far and everything still looks brand new. Perfect size for even a Spirit flight. This is my first carry-on without zippers and I’m OBSESSED! The extra clip-in pockets are super useful and come in handy. Bottom line — BUY THIS ONE!

This beautiful black bag is my most complimented piece of luggage. It easily fits into every overhead bin I've found, but it doesn't hold very many things. I have a carry-on that holds much more, but doesn't fit into every overhead bin. So ... it's a draw. I do bring it out for short 2-3 day trips.
