I ordered this to use for a family get-together as the formal dining table, and it has worked out quite well. The hemstitching gives a casual vibe that's elevated by the pure linen fiber, and the dark color is less prone to showing stains (though any fabric will show grease if that gets dripped). The size is large, suitable for a 7-8 foot table, making it a great choice for longer rooms or banquets. I love that this is a solid color and can be brightened up for summer with white/pink/yellow or made to suit a holiday table with white and metallic decor. It's also suitable for an engagement dinner or an adult's birthday party (picture it with polka-dot napkins for a woman's 35th or crisp white napkins for grandpa's 80th), and will work well for a celebratory family dinner the next time my son gets a promotion in the Navy as well. It's just a really versatile color and style. It is, however, not as thick as my grandmother's heirloom linen tablecloths, which means it's also not as heavy and the weight can't pull wrinkles out of it when we've had someone seated at the table. That's not a dealbreaker to me, but it is something to note if you want the table to look as good after the meal as before. ... show more

This lovely linen tablecloth is handcrafted of 100% pure European flax linen and is perfect for celebratory holiday tables. The table, set with beautiful china and crystal, is so elegant with this linen cloth and matching or contrasting napkins. A wonderful start to a wonderful season. This tablecloth is not difficult to care for, as it is machine-washed on gentle in cold water (using NO chlorine bleach) and tumble dry on low until partially dry. Remove while still a little damp, hang or lay flat, and air dry. Press with a steam iron or not, according to your preference. This linen tablecloth is a lovely piece to dress up your dining table. It adds a festive air to the decorations. I enjoy dining at a table dressed with real linen cloths and napkins. I thought this was a nice size cloth with lovely hemstitching. I like white or off-white linens and this cloth fit my preferences. I ordered the cloth and was pleased with its quality when it arrived. PROS: This is a nice, lightweight fabric that is stain resistant and extremely easy to clean! It fit my table well and after having a few people spill ketchup, mustard and soda I was worried it might stain. Nope! It’s machine wash & dry…what could be more simple than that?!
