I'm in love with this bookcase. I ordered the largest one and we actually left off the top level because it was getting a little too tall for our room. I thought it was great we were able to leave a level off without it looking unfinished. The quality is great, it seems to be real wood, not mdf or veneer. We have somewhat of a mid century style and it fits in great with that. It's very easy to access books and it holds a ton. I'd say without overstuffing it I can keep about 80 books on it and it leaves room for adding in some cute tchotchkes. Assembly was overall easy, but a little time consuming as there are a ton of pieces. It feels sturdy, and I have no worries about it tipping. We did not put the wheels on and I wish I could remove the little feet on the bottom just so it would sit completely flat on carpet, but once it's loaded with books there no wiggle. ... show more

It took a hour to put it together. I recommend watching the installment video to help so you’ll know the process. All the hardware was there. I love it!!! Beautiful, Space Saver, Sturdy and Functional! I bought this for my little shop to display books. Since it doesn’t take up much floor space (about 20 inches circumference) . The unit itself was attractive, of good quality, and just what my grand daughter wanted. The only issue was the bottom lazy Susan that allowed the unit to rotate was not assembled correctly at the factory...not a piece that could be corrected on site. Due to the fact that the uprights could not be assembled with the wood dowels that were supplied for the bottom section, those parts could potentially move. Watching the video and studying the directions were a must despite my husbands training as an engineer he had to grudgingly consult the directions. I’m loving this bookshelf! It was a real pain to put together and did take a fair amount of time, but it’s sturdy, looks great, and holds a lot of books. Easily holds hardback and paperback books. The locking wheels keep it firmly in place once you decide where to put it. Now I have this on hard floors so I don’t know how it does on carpet.
