When I saw this Tiny Fancy Squirrel/Wood Birdbath on Amazon, I immediately liked it and knew I would be getting it despite the rather high price. I love the fact that it is sturdy cement and won't break or chip easy. When the birdbath arrived in two packages, each weighing about 30 lbs and very easy to lift and move around, I quickly opened the packages to make sure my prize was unbroken and the right one too! I had read the other reviews so I knew that they shipped the birdbath with tons of styrofoam to protect it during shipping. One buyer even gave a negative review based solely on the messy packaging material. I don't think that is appropriate. The reviews should be based on the product itself, not shipping or packing materials. Because I knew about the styrofoam issue in advance, I opted to open the package outdoors, which was a good move because there were tiny little pieces of styrofoam all over the place and it was indeed quite messy. But I am not complaining! I would rather deal with that than a damaged or broken birdbath. The birdbath was undamaged and even nicer looking in person than in the Amazon ad photos. The basin of the birdbath was very nicely textured both inside and on the outside of it. What a treat. I put it in my garden and filled it with water. I have seen the birds use it already. It's a beautiful addition to my garden. I like buying high quality items that will last a long time. I search a long time to find the perfect item and this one fits the bill. I don't mind paying a bit more when I am buying high quality items that I love and will last a long time. This one is a keeper! I just love it.     • Very Pretty And Durable, But Very Messy Packaging
The birdbath is great. Very heavy and durable. However, the problem I had was how it was shipped. It came in two big boxes packed with lots of Styrofoam. It was a nightmare to clean up. And like an infestation, still finding small styrofoam balls days later!!! a huge mess to cleanup. Originally when I took the products out, it was like it had snowed in my living room!!! They just need to come up with a better way to get this to the consumer, less messy. ... show more
